Mrdome: Mine was for about 30minutes cos they were rushing. Normal behavioral questions and why I chose my unit. Said I was good with excel so had to show them One of them asked why I didn’t choose Assurance cos of my experience then I had to defend that, then another asked me questions about my current place of work. All in all, it was good and I’m hopeful I’d be called by God’s Grace. 6 Likes |

My interview was last week Thursday. I was scheduled for 9:30 but had to wait for 45 minutes due to a meeting. My panel consisted of 4 people. It started with 3 at first but one of them came in late. The distribution of the panel was: - a lady from Talent Management/HR - a guy from Tax Assurance - another guy from Financial Accounting Advisory - the late guy from External Audit The interview was less than 30 minutes and it went like this: - They introduced themselves then asked if they can meet me (Indirect Tell Me About Yourself) - The next set of questions came from the insight I gave in Tell Me About Yourself ( Asked to explain further about the achievements I highlighted in my work place, who the current GMD of my workplace was and when he assumed the position) - Tell us about your time in school and the challenges you faced (talked about general conditions of public Universities and how it motivated me to run for my role as a Welfare Secretary for a Student Association, Highlighted major achievements of the Association during my tenure) - Next set of questions were from my CV based on my listed work experience (Gave the definition of Internal Audit, Tax and VAT, Asked About Accounting Standards (Talked About PPE and Inventory)and to explain Adjusting Events on the Financial Statements in terms of Changes to Inventory) - I also had behavioral questions ( Tell me How You Handled a Difficult Task You Had No Prior Knowledge Of). Tell me about a prior experience working in a team, the deliverables and the means used to achieve them - I was asked about my hobbies since it was not present on my CV - Asked if I had any questions for them ( My question was on switching between LOSs and the process in place for developing talent in GTs) - From my question to them, they asked for the department i was interested in and I said Internal Audit. I was then asked if I knew the LOS it belonged to. - I was also asked why I wanted to work for them. From the response I gave, they asked why I chose Internal Audit over External Audit since I had experience in both and I gave my reason. That was the end. All I can say is it was an easy process as long as you know your CV and how to align the STAR interview technique to your response while showing traits they value as shown on their profile. Most times, the direction of the interview will be based on “Tell Me About Yourself” as it was for my case. Munabenny: 8 Likes 1 Share |
