true but Russia is not as powerful as the US.

This ur statement is arguable....

Any country with enough money, huge population(cos it means their military will be huge too)and A nuclear weapons program is a very big treat to the US. Until they go to war, you can never tell....we will just be assuming.

Russia is the only country that is constantly dares the US....now China is also becoming that powerful and are also gradually challenging the US.

RTSC:

They were Syrian forces with Russian mercenaries.
They were not official forces from the Russian federation.

And the US pounded them to finish with airstrikes to the extent that 300 of those Syrian forces and mercenaries were killed and none on the American side.

Moscow was furious, but they couldn't say or do anything.

And what happened when Russia moved the S-300 missile defence system into Syria? Why America no show air superiority again?

helped out indeed. We all know what happens when they want to help out they end up taking control. World War 2 they came in late but they are the ones that ended it. What am trying to say is they played the Major part in ousting him and the country has been a shit hole ever since his ousting.
Don't publicly extort the EU, just saying.

Over a hundred countries support Maduro including Nigeria, no country in Africa recognise Guaido, no Asian countries recognise Guaido, it's only the US and Europe excluding Italy.
Russia, China, India, Mexico, Turkey, Ghana etc recognise Maduro.

Western media keeps mentioning that 50 countries recognise Guaido to give him some sense of acceptance without mentioning that over 100 countries recognise Maduro, that should tell you the agenda. I like your interest in foreign affairs but your outlook should be wide, switch off CNN, BBC, Aljazeera and read wide from other sited.

Read www.rt.com and Telesur for alternative view and news balance on International events.

RT is Russian State owned. It isn't balanced lol.

People just come to nairaland to form experts after briefly reading about a topic. Someone was saying North Korea is a Third World country believing that phrase meant poor countries or countries not doing well economically. Third World countries are countries not aligned to either USA or Soviet Union.
As for the topic, America has always interfered with the internal affairs of several nations, you are either for them or against them, you can't be neutral and when you are for them, you must do their bidding. Virtually all government in the work today are American puppets. This is the American interest. The few remaining governments not serving American interest are those they are currently trying to depose and Putin would do anything to protect those government. USA doesn't care about good governs or human rights, all they care about is influence and resources. If US is serious about democracy and human rights they will be concerned about Egypt and Myanmar and not Venezuela but since Sisi's coup government is friendly to Israel, even though it is a brutal regime, they will look the other way. A country that wouldn't allow the International community to investigate it's military's action in Iraq and Afghanistan for possible war crimes has no moral right to determine how bad the leader of another country is.

A perfect example of how US foreign policy works is the case of king Faisal and zhulfika Ali Bhutto of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan respectively, these two spearheaded the summit that prompted the Arab world to stop the sale of oil to US in protests of US support and aid to Israel during the Arab Israeli wars.
Both were told they would be made terrible examples of. King Faisal who is known to have abolished slavery in Saudi Arabia was assassinated by his nephew who had just returned from US while the king was trying to hug him. Ali Bhutto who is known for modernising Pakistan was deposed in a coup and sentenced to death for a crime he didn't commit. That is US for you.
