Buhari, yesterday, embarked on a private trip. He is expected back to the country on May 5.

Why does this matter?Because Nigeria/Africa is stupid enough to be RULED by Presidents!

Instead of having a president,we should have a council/committee.
If we had a council/committee,we would not be nervous about Buhari going abroad for 10 days.

Look,if we had a council with say seven members, and Buhari was a member of the council; would it matter if Buhari went abroad for 10 days?!

That would still leave us with SIX people to run the country!

I think such a council will end sectional domination and usher fair representation too

With a council,we would no longer have Hausa Fulani or Northern Muslim Presidents only.
Since a council would have multiple people, voters wont waste their votes on tribal identity or region.

With multiple persons on a council/committee,they would be elected from every region and every tribe in Nigeria.
So a council would undoubtedly consist of Yorubas,Igbos,Fulanis,Christians,Muslims,Northerners,Southerners,SS,SE and so on and so on.

But as long as we have Presidents,people will vote for the wrong reason(Tribe/Religion/Region).

However, Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, the spokesman of the CUPP, said Buhari’s trip was funded with taxpayers money and as such, he should disclose the reason behind his latest trip instead of tagging it a private visit.

Since Buhari answers to no one,as all presidents do not answer to anyone,he doesnt have to tell anyone where he is going or why he is going.
Presidencies lack transparency, As President you can decide to fly your jet to go buy pizza,and you wouldn't have to discuss it with anyone.

If Nigeria had a council/committee,and Buhari was a member of that Council/Committee, Buhari would have peers he would have to discuss his trip with.He would even need permission from the council to spend money on such a trip.

So a council/committee eliminates secrecy (Buhari going on a secret trip)
A council/committee eliminates unaccountability (Buhari using tax payer money for private trip)

Speaking to reporters in Abuja, he said: “The President is taking Nigerians for granted. He does whatever he likes without bothering about anybody. After spending over a year outside the country in the last four years, he has again embarked on what he called a private visit with the taxpayers’ money.

See,as president,with no one to answer to,Buhari does whatever he likes.
If we had a council/committee,and Buhari had peers,he would have to consult his peers.

We also had the misfortune of electing a person that takes Nigerians for granted.
Why wouldnt he take us for granted,since the people that voted for him voted because of ethnicity/religion and region.
When people vote for presidents they always vote for sentimental reasons,not for good purposes.
They vote for:
Ethnicity
Religion
Region
Political Party

If we had a Council/Committee,Nigerians would not be wasting ALL of their votes on foolishness like what region the candidate came from.

Buhari also spent a full year outside of Nigeria in the past four years;
So you have a president that's missing for a year?
Wouldn't it be better if Buhari had peers/mates to run the country when he is missing?
If Nigeria had a council/committee instead of a President,it would not affect us when Buhari deserts us.

Somehow and as weird as this proposition is, I feel it should be given a consideration.

We don't just have to borrow a system hook line and sinker, we should be creative enough to evolve a system that better suit our peculiarity.

The problem with this is People will still vote for stupid reasons.

People will still vote for OBJ because hes from PDP and a christian
people will stiil vote for Atiku because hes PDP and Christian
People will still vote for Buhari because hes APC and Muslim.

If people have only one vote,their going to vote for silly,ignorant reasons.

What happens if your region elects OBJ,another region elects Atiku and another region elects Buhari?

If people have more than one vote,they won't waste ALL their votes on identity politics or for other silly reasons!
Say someone has 7 votes,their first vote may be for Buhari because hes A Northern Sharia Islamic Hausa From the APC
But for their other 6 votes,they'll definitely vote for the Sowores /Ribadus/Moghalus or any of the fresh candidates.
You know,the rest of their votes will be for people with new ideas and people with integrity and people with history of good governance.

Also,what if your region elected Buhari,and he behaves the same way he does now?

We need a council with equal responsibility , function and jurisdiction among all members.

Buhari did nothing for 4 years!
GEJ did nothing!
OBJ did nothing for 8 years!

Do you see how we are wasting time on presidents?These men only goal is to acquire power and wealth,not to serve us.

If we had councils instead of presidents we would not be having useless presidents wasting our time.
As i said,a council has multiple people,so if some of the politicians on the council wants to waste time , the others on the council will be working for us.

Like having a president is like putting all your hopes in a single person when we don't have to.

So the country is on autopilot because we have a absentee president.
Because we have one president,if the president is a truant,our country is on autopilot.
If we had a council instead of a president,even if we somehow elected all truants to this council,they won't all go missing the same time

“If he is going for regular medicals, he should be bold enough to tell us. If he is going on holiday, he should also tell us because his trips are funded with taxpayers’ money.

Since we have a president,if our president is sick,that means the country has no leadership!
Why should 200MILLION PEOPLE DEPEND ON A SINGLE PERSON??

If we had a seven person council,and a council member got sick and could not perform.
THAT STILL LEAVES US WITH SIX PERSONS TO LEAD THE NATION!!!

Again,Buhari doesnt have to tell you how he is funding his trips because he is accountable to nobody!
If we had a council,all council members would have to tell the other council members how they are getting money to do things.
