Until we become a victim, we might not understand the agony of the oppressed. This is so for some who per luck haven't experienced any of the numerous intimidation, oppression amidst many other undemocratic and inhame practices in this country. The land is filled with sorrow, inconvenience and gross oppression from the privileged to those of lesser categories and many who do not have the mental strength to withstand will have to opt for alternatives such as suicide.

Such is the case of recent happenings in LAUTECH, where the school management came up with some ridiculous banners all around the school environs with the tag "NO TUITION, NO TESTS/EXAMS". You would recall that the Student Union Government had been proscribed just some weeks before this act, based on silly and flimsy reasons. Little did we know that this is inorder to achieve their plan of this inhumane policy.

Now the union is proscribed, the school management pretentiously put up a "CARETAKER COMMITTEE" who are obvious underdogs to the management to be incharge of the union. One would wonder how possible will such happen. Well, I tell you this is LAUTECH, where anything happens.

We gave benefit of doubt to this committee with the hope that they would kick against or find solution to the decision of their employers, not until tests approached and about 9000 STUDENTS who have not been able to meet the demands were denied from writing tests, as prediction would have it.

All hopes began to seem blur and many students are already contemplating SUICIDE as examination would be starting in just some days time and many Ladokites(about 9000) will be having an extra year because of inability to pay their tuition fee. At this point, we can not feign ignorance and overlook such aberration in a government owned institution in a democratic state.

SAY NO TO SUICIDE IN LAUTECH.

NO TO "NO TUITION NO EXAM".
