Chimamanda is a gift most people might not be totally reasonable enough to phantom completely in dat way in other to appreciate her to her fullness..,even though they love , appreciate n want her 2....The spirit of Achebe is hovering within dat lady in it refined modern purity and and blooming into flowers..come to think of it, dat she actually grew up within the same room Chinua Achebe lived and studied most part of his life....i only wld expect her to begin to pick up some kind of courage n begin to write about the awkwardness of this contraption of lies presently called Nigeria and à way its ppl within dat boundry could begin to embrace the perfect truth despite its pains n push away from itself criminals who propagate all this facade in d name of government, politics and scam, n how most international communities are taken in d deceit of almagation and robbing the ppl with aid of their criminal local chiefs, a. K. a politicians n farce government.. Skewed leadership....... Çhimamanda has described Lagos in it entirety n stripped it naked.. It's not a funny picture...but it's d truth....nothing can be more vivid.... That fakeness... That growing madness... Draining..

I need me some Lagos 'Chaos' at least once in a year. After spending the large part of the year in the super structured, highly organized and suffocating environment of the Western world, being in Lagos for a month or two is very 'soothing' in a twisted kind of way.


One feels very alive in Lagos. Tourists can choose to come or not. Nobody is asking or begging you to come.


'Gida' is home to all.

She still lives in Lagos. She owns her own house in Northern Foreshore Estate, in Lekki.

However, since you, even as a Yoruba man who claims Lagos as his tribal heritage, does not have a roof over your head and you make do in a dingy shelter somewhere in Mushin, I very much doubt that you would ever get to meet her shadow. Therefore, I advise you to stop daydreaming and concentrate on f@cking yourself. You're doing a good job of that already.

Lagos is indeed a wonderful place where I came with nothing and i become something in life. Like it or not under water in 30 years or in 10 years. Lagos is our home, with plenty windows of opportunities. I am grateful for Lagos being part of my success story.
