iheartellah:I got an update notification 2 weeks ago but just updated it last night,the fingerprint is now super fast they improved it GREATLY.It now takes less than a second,it opens immediately your thumb touches the sensor unlike before. 2 Likes |

I've just read a lot comparisons between samsung and xiaomi. Yea xiaomi have great phones but Samsung to me beats them. I spent months studying and comparing which phone to buy, though I saw a50 in a friends hand and fail in love but then the issue of broken Samsung screen made me look for alternative, in my search for alternative I spent weeks on net reviewing and comparing which phone to buy. I spent weeks reading xiaomi thread on nairaland here trying to get good info about their phones, I ask questions on the thread too, at a time they became angry with me tag me among the enemies of xiaomi because there a lot of complaints from new buyers because of one issue or another, am always inquisitive to know why many complaints on the phone. Though the complaints was about their hardware but software. A lot of third party involved. One example is, for u to get best camera shot u have to get gcam wish I dont fancy getting a third party. another I later settled for a50 after I cant bear with the complains on redmi note 7 and the note 7pro being Chinese version then. As I want to my a50 the xiaomi k20, k20pro, mi9t etc came out, also galaxy a70 too, I start another reviewing and comparing, at the end I later choose a70 which is what am using now. Xiaomi is really trying but Samsung is still baba. Pls who ever want to buy and phone and want to review it especially xiaomi and Samsung should first spend time read the thread on nairaland here, that's where you see real users. Though Samsung dont have active thread here but xiaomi have best and busiest thread here My own view. thanks 4 Likes |

Noblefarm, good one. However, the notion of "for u to get best camera shot u have to get gcam" is not right as it's subjective. Some users have said it severally that the shots of RN7 is good but we know how it is: people will still want more irrespective of how much they're given! If it's possible to have GCam on Sammy, users will opt for it too. There are several users of Xiaomi that don't fancy the GCam and attest to the stock camera being great on it's own. tasonivan: Lol, currently using Samsung A30 and I'm really enjoying rn (barely 2 weeks tho) From your point above I'll love to shed my personal review 1. The reason why it heat during browsing is due to bad signal (like when there's bad 4g coverage at where you are) try and stay in a place where there's a very strong 4g network and browse, I'm 99% you'll rule out thay first point 2. Sound quality during call (I don't think it's bad tho, unless you're talking about another model different from this A30 I'm using)3. Mine doesn't pop up any sort of widget or ads and I've never learnt of any complain like that from users (both net and friends) 4. If it's about app running on background, I think GREENIFY can sort that out in a jiffy Just download and I'm sure you'll be glad you did 5. Battery is superb, something must be really wrong with that your phone.....idk tho Below is the battery usage statistic shot 2 Likes

tasonivan:for number one, its because of bad network connection, right now I'm using my phone to browse and the 4g connection is terrible, both my first and second sims are struggling to get good connection. The back of the phone is warm (not crazy hot, just warm) its nothing serious. 2. I have no problem with the sound quality for phone calls, I hear people loud and clear. 3. Never seen any widget either. 4. True, a few apps run in the background especially samsung apps, even right now when put on my phone Samsung's health app came on and started counting my steps. But you can disable them and stop them from running in the background. 5. I am a very heavy user, very very heavy but I still get 6hrs of SOT during my heavy usage. Although I try my best not to allow my battery go below 40% bfor I charge it.

please help a brother... am having indecision on which to buy from a30 and a20. am having 55000 at hand right now. godblessenugu042:a friend of mine owns an a20 and I have handled the phone. Its a great device, the camera is good and performance is alright. It's AMOLED too so the screen looks good tho its 720p. The major difference btw it and the a30 is the higher screen resolution and better processor and the camera is slightly better than the a20. So if your budget is 55k then go for the a20 but if you feel you can still get that extra cash for the a30 then go for it. They are both great phones. |
