in my own observation benue people are the problem of that region. They said Fulani is their enemy They are fighting with taraba They are fighting with eboyin. And people of beneu are forigner in that land the land belong to hausa people, can any tiv or idoma people tell us means of (makurdi) with their language? The real name of the place is (Maikudi) was name after an hausa man. Well story is not my job. Am Yoruba. But let people of benue reason with head. Expecialy tiv people |

Osagyefo98: You mean they should leave their lands to neighbors claiming them? You are not serious. Ebonyi has the the third largest landmass in SE, after Enugu and Abia, and these three Igbo states tend to have the most violent of Igbo clans. In contrast, we peace loving Anambra have the smallest landmass in SE, having probably lost a large chunk of landmass to invading Igalas from Kogi, no thanks to not being more violent in checkmating their attacks and invasion, even at that, we have the Aguleri-Ibaji clash recently. IMO state is second to smallest and I can't fault them, since they don't share boundaries with any non Igbo speaking group, it was important they don't go about fighting fellow Igbos for land. I'm glad these Igbo states are not giving up our already small land to non Igbo groups around them . If I have my way, I would secretly sponsor them behind the scenes, to ensure we don't lose an inch of our lands, while calling for peace before the camera and newsmen. Peace is important, but it cannot be at the expense of further shrinkage of Igboland. Mbanu! 3 Likes |

Kokoebapluse: It doesn't matter ok people migrate to places Makurdi is originally owned by the jukuns ok not Hausa The tiv migrated to there from the congo basin and the idoma before the igala Influenced the idomas As for the ebony border case with the idoma people of Ado They share similar language with abakiliki people of ebony Cos three days ago I was purchasing a phone battery from a young guy and he spoke a language that does not even sound like igbo but have igala tone and very much like idoma I ask him what tribe is he from he said he is abakiliki ebonyi . I put hand for head this guy spoke a language I understood what he spoke it's igala my dialect Am not saying abakiliki people speaks igala maybe that guy has ancestry with this border part cos many of them from that border part are bi lingual Some understand idoma n igbo Remember was the headquarters of the Ogoja province before the creation of the Southeastern State in 1967 No wonder the general Ibos don't consider abakiliki people as real igbos |

That’s a proactive governor, he’s not afraid to take on his own people. Even arrested the chairman of the LGA, unlike “the presidency” who would rather play tribal politics with people’s lives! |

Abakaliki people are only strong when they are killing themselves in ezza and izzi or committing violent crimes in the streets of Onitsha where 95% of them are touts. Ordinary benue is chopping off their heads for fun and their idiotic governor is oozing cowardice arresting his own people 1 Like |

omenkaLives: Of course i knew your diseased self will show face on this thread! You've already taken sides, and tried convicted and sentenced the Ebonyians mainly based on the premise that they're Igbo...they must be the culprits because they're Igbo innit? Funnily enough, you never take a similar stand with issues concerning your lord and masters the fulani! As far as you're concerned, the fulani are saints and should all be canonised as such! It doesn't occur to you that the story doesn't add up: the victims are Ebonyians, but you immediately concluded they were killed by their own kinsmen just to give you the opportunity to vent your frustration on 'ipod'! Only a frustrated demon and a bigot like you could see a nexus between this criminality and IPOB! If you say IPOB has no influence, are terrorists, and have been 'defeated' by your god Buhari, then the call for Benue to join us in observing the sit-at-home on the 30th of may should be a non-issue.....you should read about it, laugh your head off and move on! But here we find you tearing your hair out in frustration and looking for the slightest opportunity to abuse IPOB and Igbos! What does that say about your actual perception of IPOB? Dude, you're on a downward slippery slope to insanity! |

They don't share similar language with Idoma. Ezza, Izzi, Ikwo clearly speak an Igbo dialect. Nothing similar between their Igbo dialect and Idoma. However, they are bilingual In Idoma and Igbo, just like their Idoma neighbors are bilingual in Idoma and Igbo.
You don't speak Igbo, how would you know when a language sounds Igbo? There is nothing about Ikwo /Ezza/Izzi that sound Igala (Yoruboid language) or Idoma. They are bilingual in Igbo and idoma like I had noted. If anyone should be claiming anyone, it's Ndiigbo that should be claiming Ibaji as they seem Igboid in looks and language, but we don't claim them, so I would advise you mind your territory and stop pokenosing into Igbo territories.
Stop talking what you don't know about. No Igbo consider Ebonyi less Igbo, the few Igbos who do such are usually myopic and senseless and still don't consider other part of Igboland other than their own part , Igbo enough. Ebonyi always was a key player in Igboland. The first indigenous governor of Eastern region was an Igbo man from Ebonyi, Enugu airport (The only international airport in Igboland) is also named after him. Dave Nwaeze Umahi , current Ebonyi governor is the leader of SE governors forum, while chief igariwey was the immediate past president of Ohanaeze Ndiigbo. I know you are from Illushi, an Igala town in Edo state, I would appreciate if you stay off Igbo issues and stop trying to divide my people. Thanks. [/quote] 4 Likes |
