Job Brief
We are searching for a motivated Accounting assistant who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. Accounting Assistants can expect to assist the Accounting department with data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking and preparing budgets and reports. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills.

Accounting assistant Responsibilities:
• Providing support to the Accounting Department.
• Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person. Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
• Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct.
• Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any queries.
• Managing petty cash transactions.
• Controlling credit and chasing debt.
• Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits.
• Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
• Preparing financial reports as directed by the Accountant.
• Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.

Accounting assistant Requirements:
• Candidate must not be above 27 years old as at December 2019.
• Male candidates most preferable (Female Candidates still acceptable).
• At least an OND in accounting, Finance management or closely related field with at least 1 year work experience.
• Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
• Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with basic Accounting principles.
• Professional manner and strong ethical code.
• Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
• Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.

Working Conditions
• Preferred candidate to work with the account Manager.
• Works 8am to 5pm (Monday – Friday)
• Very good working environment.
• Salary N40,000 Start.
