In the early hours of today, Premium Times reported that officials of The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) apprehended Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley.

Premium Times also confirmed that The Nigerian musician was being interrogated at the EFFC office in Lagos in a report made by a top source at the agency.

Speculations detect that the reason for his arrest could be as a result of the controversial statements he shares on social media that glorifies Internet Fraudsters aka Yahoo Boys.

In a recent comment Naira Marley posted, he said:

All you guys, all the money in your pockets, all the money you spend, you think it’s the government that is making the money go round?” Naira Marley had said in an Instagram Live session.
