AGhanaian Pastor, Victor Eghan, has given reasons why Christians who watch Game of Thrones are going against God and would probably end up in hell.

Just watched a few episodes years ago. But I came across some statistics and facts that may interest you.

Interesting Stats:
*865 deaths
*17 rapes (including attempted ones)
*144 scenes of naked people (with 83.7% being women)

Interesting Facts:
*In 2016, HBO was in a legal battle with the porn website, PornHub, over the site’s use of sexually explicit clips from GAME OF THRONES, which HBO states breaches their copyright of the content.

*According to data from PornHub, the site saw a 4% drop in traffic (that is, a drop of about 2.4 million viewers) during Game of Thrones’ season 6 premiere back in April. The site saw similar traffic dips over the next four weeks when new episodes aired, suggesting that people are, presumably, watching the show instead of porn.

*There are a LOT of porn stars in Game Of Thrones. Jessica Jenson and Samantha Bentley, winner of the Adult Video News Award for Best Group Sex Scene, have both played prostitutes on the show. Let me give you a stat myself. All of the violence in game of thrones combined does not exceed the violence depicted in the books of Samuel and Kings.
The total genocide and slaughter of Amalek - men, women, children alone is more chilling than any event depicted in the whole of Game of thrones.

Some of the sexual violence and activity that occurred in the OT are more strange than some of the most purid events in game of thrones.

You complain about Game of Thrones incest between Jaime and Cersei but you also read how David's son raped his own sister - which is worse?

When you want to advise people do so without spewing hypocritic nonsense everywhere. People should not watch GoT because it is not good for their spiritual health is enough, stop threatening people with hell fire.

The only problem with Game of Thrones is the sexual explicitness. And I would advise people to watch a censored version if possible, as that kind of uncensored sexual graphic can lead your soul astray. But beyond that it's an awesome story.

For someone like myself, my perfect way of relaxation is to watch a good movie or series if possible. But with the way Hollywood is going, it seems they have a plan to push all devout people off the ends of the earth by propagating scenes that would either offend them or turn them away from faith.
And many Christians are falling for it by withdrawing and withdrawing until there would be no where to withdraw to, while other Christians are swallowing up all Hollywood's content without remorse. It would get to a point we won't even be able to switch on the TV without having Hollywood's agenda blazing through the screen.

Temptation is a test of your self control and self discipline, so we gain the strength of the temptation we watch, see and then resist.

The greek word for temptation means to test, to try, to prove. How are you proven, if you arent tested, you havent being tried, huh?

Now you've gone subjective on me now with this comment. Do you also censor reading the Bible, leaving out the bad and ugly? Temptation is everywhere you go and look, but so is God.

The secret of using temptation, is turning it, to your advantage, not giving in to it and remaining unbeatable by it. The worst kind of temptation are the ones we give in to, without getting anything substantial back in return, except for the shocking stark reality of the discovery of our frailty.

Exactly my thought too. IMHO, there wasnt anything shocking, repulsive or explicit in the five Game Of Thrones (i.e. GoT) gay scenes. It would be for a puritan or prude though.

The SS scenes were just as unchaste as some of their counterpart heterosexuals, depicted that hedonism, loose morals and sexual promiscuity are not exclusive to heterosexuals relationships. They are present in all forms of sexuality and/or relationships

There's always less lewd series and movies out there, but you know what people don't watch cos in end sex sells, a series like GOT gets a majority of its PR and hype through sex scenes, I barely blame them cos that's what people like to see, humans are obsessed with sex
