Aljazeera news content has always been so refreshingly different from that of CNN, BBC, and the likes that if it is included in any cable package, i always opt for it. It feels more original, and their documentaries are detailed and fun.

I too prefer Aljazeera.

The reason for the closure is that the Saudi Arabian crown prince rules with am iron feast. The killing of Kashoggi speaks volumes of his view of journalists and the press. The prince is intolerant of criticism and dissent.

Aljazeera has existed since the early 2,000's. It therefore can't be coincidental that demands for it closurse is most vocal when a dictator holds sway in Saudi Arabia.
