The Hope Democratic Party and its presidential applicant, Ambrose Owuru, have asked the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to stop the arranged introduction of President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29 for a second term pending the consultation and assurance of their allure testing the President's triumph at the February 23 survey.

The application by the applicants was booked for hearing on Tuesday, yet it was deferred till May 22 after the respondents educated the five-person council driven by Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa that they were just presented with the application in no time before the beginning of the procedures and requested time to react.

"A request of this fair court limiting the Chief Justice of Nigeria or any ‎other Justice in that stead from swearing in, overseeing the promise of devotion and vow of office or taking an interest in the initiation service on May 29, 209 or some other date to swear in the first respondent, s the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria pending the assurance of this appeal challenging the legitimacy of the substituted and addressed presidential race of February 23, 2019."

The candidates are testing Buhari's triumph at the survey because the rescheduling of the presidential decision from February 16, 2019, to February 23, 2019, was done "with no unmistakable nearness or presence as well as consistency with endorsed statutory conditions to do as such."

Buhari, the Independent National Electoral Commission, and the All Progressives Congress are the three respondents to the appeal.

They were altogether spoken to by their legal counselors at Tuesday's pre-hearing session.
