Are you claiming points for the 3months? If no (which should be unless you are trying to make up 3yrs work experience), i suggest you forget about getting a reference from them for that duration and just include this information in personal history section which would come up after getting ITA unless you are going PnP route( you’ll understand if this is the case. If yoy are claiming work experience, get a former colleague that still works there to give you a reference on plain paper stating your duties, duration of work, salary paid and how it was paid. Notarise this document, add his/her work id card and any other thing that can prove their own employment as well as evidence (if possible) of how/why you were unable to get a reference from the employer directly. You will get an email in your personal yahoo or gmail account saying you have a mail on cic account. So it’s best to keep an eye on the email address you used to open up your cic account. Check spam too. jenifero: |

Nothing to stress out about really, just calm your mind. If you are less than 28 years, declare everything from age 18 till date. If 28 and above, declare the last 10yrs only. The instruction is to declare the last 10years or from 18th birthday till date depending on which is closer. Anything before these times are not exactly relevant. Hephzibah2018: 3 Likes 1 Share |

psquaree: It's possible, just make sure it's equivalent to ur minimum POF |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by PopularGingo: 7:34pm On Sep 24, 2019 |
Hocmeum: You’re welcome, goodluck. psquaree:It’s possible as long as it’s going to your own account. Just ensure it’s the Canadian dollar equivalent of your required proof of funds. Also get a gift deed from him too. Hephzibah2018: If it’s the SAME company, You can include a line or two about being registered as a director for your mind to be at rest but seeing as thats not the role you are claiming points for i don’t think it’s necessary. Adding it to your personal history should suffice. (Others can chime in). Also i don’t think it’s necessary to state it’s a family owned business as long as you have all relevant requirements to prove employment unless you are writing a LOE. 1 Like |

So I had given up on applying for now after getting replies about the “one year continuous work experience” clause because I left NYSC early but then I did more research and this highlighted part is giving me some hope but I might be wrong. Full time at more than one job for 12 months So if I did NYSC for 10 months and have additional 2 months of experience somewhere else and fortunately it’s the same NOC and this work was even right before I did NYSC, according to the highlighted part, doesn’t that mean I could be eligible? If this is not what that statement means, could someone please explain better? Thanks for your anticipated response 1 Like

PopularGingo: August 28th to July 23rd is actually 11 months. If she is using NYSC as her primary NOC, her application could be refused. 1 Like |

PopularGingo: Actually, I'm trying to input my directorship into Personal history under organization for activity type and it keeps saying this "Any period of time you indicate as being a member of an organization will not count as part of the 10-year personal/address history you are required to provide". So I change the activity type to Employment instead of organization or leave it as is? |

Canada2021: I'm sure your letter will have exact dates and not just months as seen in the EE profile. January 30 to December 1st is 11 months by VO standards. Simply go to your calendar and count date to date. You do not want to know how many applications have been rejected because of this so called minor issue. Well, it's your application so do what gives you sweet sleep. 2 Likes |
