Which one is incorrect?

Stay clear of my path

Steer clear of my path

Someone used the wrong one today.

'Steer/keep/stay clear of somebody/something' is an IDIOM.

So, both are correct (Oxford dico talk am) here.

But, if you want to use 'way', which may replace 'path' as well (I think), then, the expression is 'keep/stay out of somebody's way'.

The most fav Naija expression, for me, is:

Where are you going to?

I always assume it's a direct mental matching to the twin opposite expression: Where are you coming from?

Stacym wasn't quite correct there. (s)he wasn't wrong either, though.

I would say the use of 'toast' is colloqual slang, and is therefore admissible.
'Woo' on the other hand is kinda Shakespearean. I'm not sure how apt the use of the word would be, if you were chatting up some random woman for a quick one grin. 'Woo' sounds like a long thing jare tongue

Thnaks, bro.

You are right. 'Woo' is Shakespearean! In fact, it is old-fashioned. Archaic!

Oxford dico sef talk am.

I think it is an assignment for us to search for the 'best' word.

Oya.

Are these statements CORRECT or INCORRECT?

She is very furious.

He answered the questions very brilliantly.

Ileke is very exhausted and tired.

He did his very best for Nigerians.

Oya, answer!

ONLY the last one is CORRECT.

Check your dico for 'very' and its usage. And, don't use 'very' with VERBS.

Imagine that! I mean 'very' is an adverb as well oo. But it doesn't modify VERBS. Funny!

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

1. We use very when we want to emphasise that something is more than
usual.

It’s very cold. I’ll wait inside!
It’s very expensive. I can’t afford it.
He’s studying very hard. Perhaps he’s got an exam soon.

What is up with these?

Yeah. That is true. I can prove it.

1. We use very when we want to emphasise that something is more than
usual.

It’s very cold. I’ll wait inside!
It’s very expensive. I can’t afford it.
He’s studying very hard. Perhaps he’s got an exam soon.

What is up with these?

With comparative adjectives, 'much', 'very much' and 'greatly' are preferred.

And, you don't use 'very' with adjectives and adverbs that have extremee meaning.

And, you shouldn't use 'very' to modify past participles.

Got it?

Well, when you have to sole or joint rights to keeping inventing something and marketing it, that is copyright. And when you don't and you act as if you do, you are into piracy. Not the one at the horn of Africa oh!
