Hi bro

Yeah! It can be snatched, especially when used figuratively. Besides, 'snatch' means 'to steal', as well.
Even a victory can be snatched from the jaws of defeat.

Semid4life asked a similar question about 'crack' some months ago.

In here (verb meaning no.3): http://oxforddictionaries.com/definition/crack

I would like to address the use of the word 'Stuffs', this word does not exist. Its never 'stuffs like this', there is no plural so no matter how many they are,it must always be 'Stuff'. And same goes for 'Staffs', please lose the last 's'

Prof, wonderful job you're doing here. I need clarification on the words learnt and learned.

In the example below, which would be the correct one to use or are both correct and can be used?

I've learnt/learned a lot about cars since I started working at Coscharis Motors?

Due to the ever-increasing influence of the US in all spheres of our lives, Oxford Dico too are being 'forced' to tow the line as regards 'learned/learnt' and others.

It used to be learnt (British). But, these days, they now use 'learned' more. And, it's no.1 on ODO.

Here:

commit to memory:I'd learned too many grim poems in school
become aware of (something) by information or from observation:[with clause] :I learned that they had eaten already

That is what i mean. I was taught that 'staff' has no plural form yet i saw in a dictionary 'staffs' as plural. It was embarrassing cos i was seriously arguing. Even the spell check on Nland has 'staffs'.

Trusty.

It's not a word.  Choices are "trusting" or "trusted" or "trustworthy."

That's my contribution to this topic, for now.  Please correct me if the above is incorrect.  cool

So Debosky and Duduspace keep telling me. I really do love the team but believe it or not I didn't watch the 2nd part of 06/07 season; almost cost me a baby. That team won't be the death of naijababe, therefore I'm letting out all my frustration/annoyance/disappointment

Nooooo! Naijababe. Take it easy. Don't let it consume you.

These days, I am your typical plastic fan. Adopt my policy and you'll be fine. No BP o. So, take it easy.

Wenger is too stubborn, though.
