There is no way tinubu will get the ticket because he is a Muslim . if that happened, the north , who are predominantly Muslims would lose out completely. Muslim Muslim ticket won't fly, this is not 1993. This is the reason Elrufai is calling for Tinubu's head. With Osunbajo, Elrufai is sure of vice presidential slot and may succeed his boss as well. That is the game plan for now and Buhari is a parr of the while plan. 1 Like |

Interesting.or how do you reason it out.we said it that Jagaban only sacrificed Ambode for his 2023 Presidential Race for he felt the Ambode's political clout will be too formidable then(though Ambo too did not manage people well, imagine the grass root/ward leaders were schemed out).but PYO,is more a reliable hand, the 3-months he was ruling Nigeria saw inflation down considerably, change flexibility of doing business,FOREX came down: indeed,God was with him.you remember how Port-Harcourt women came out to welcome him like never before.Thats traits of a good leader.PYO watch your back o against saboteurs. |

iwadobo: Asiwaju willnt contest, the ticket is for osinbajo/Ribadu, Elrufai cannt get any ticket for APC, even Buhari his nt comfortable with Elrufai but many people dnt knw n understand, Buhari call Elrufai gov bulldozer the last time he demolish his political opponent office, Elrufai his hated by nothern elit so his out of the game. They have already started grooming Ribadu to join the ticket with Osinbajo, because of anti corruption crusade he has in common with Buhari. This is how the Ticket of APC will go comes 2023. |

Would've said it's the turn of the Ibos, but they do not have a single politician of national stature, moreover it has gradually become clearer that the Nigerian presidency can not be rotational, it is simply impracticable for all 200-plus ethnic nationalities to have their turn. The various tribes just have to leverage on whatever political/economic advantages they have at their disposal to put their man at the helm in Aso Rock, without minding what the consequences are. That's what the Hausa/Fulani have always done. Is it worth their while? That is an entirely different topic for discussion. Bola Tinubu had control of the advantage bestowed on the Yoruba by virtue of the economic prominence of Lagos, but what did he do with it? He first of all enslaved the entire Yoruba nation, then he deployed their massive resources in support of the Hausa/Fulani cause, somehow trusting them to return the favour in 2023. Such faith! Northern political figures have an almost unbroken track record of failed promises. Let the Lion of Bourdillon keep hoping for the keys to Aso Rock come 2023, but the Ijaws and their kin down in the Delta are definitely waiting too. They know that Nigeria cannot fight civil wars on two different fronts, no matter how powerful the Fulani military machine. They also know that the person paying the piper should, by rights, call the tune. |

famouscargo4u: Tinubu and Osinbajo have already planned this. They both cannot come out at the same time. Most likely Tinubu is paving the way for a SW candidate which most likely will be Osinbajo 1 Like |

Babatundecash: He has every right to contest in 2023. It may not be fair geo-politics in the context of rotational political offices but Nigeria was never established to make logical sense. As for Mr.Veepee, there was a widely circulated photo of him signing some document in the run up to the 2015 polls with the Jagaban in court and Remi Tinubu as witness....my wild guess is that it was perhaps a 'forfeiture of future ambition' pledge. Anyway Mr. Veepee is not a politician and cannot handle present day Nigeria with any sense of authority. The personality and regime of Jonathan Goodluck is a pointer to this and his tepid persona in the face of a number of direct challenges to his authority these psst 4 years is not encouraging. Nigeria is still shedding its military exo-skeleton. |

Tinubu is the most intelligent politician in Nigeria today. He knows when to fight and when to retreat. He will definitely try to feel the pulses of the stakeholders and if they are not positively gravitating towards his ambition, which i expect will happen, he will retreat and fully support his protege, Prof Osinbajo. By then Osinbajo would have added 7 years as VP to his resume. He still remains one of the few leaders with some integrity and he will definitely have the trust and backing of Nigerians. Jagaban has a lot of questions to answer concerning his sudden wealth after governing Lagos for 8 years. Recall he said himself that he returned from the US to contest with next to nothing. The Toronto issue is still there, even his real age! So it is best for him to stay away from contesting. Just consolidate on his influence as Africa's most powerful politician alive, like him or hate him. My opinion though .. |
