Reuby Woke me up with her (return back bark)

I was lying on bed when My GSD beast Queen Eragon was barking outside and before I know it this tintinni girl Reuby barked back for like 5 seconds and ran to the window where she can see tha beast..
This is a Nice development I’m longing to see and hoping when she’s 16weeks old plus she would manifest..


Well I’m glad this is happening already.

Did I mention I met her mother and she’s a typical example of having an adult Lhasa as a alerting dog.
Even tho she was charging at me I managed to stand my ground o
Her bark was a resounding one, it was as if they had a bigger breed in their compound..

I would try so much to socialize Reuby so as not to be ferocious like her mother.

Kid sis decided to take shots with Reuby
Reuby is growing fast..
I carried her to get something this morning. A dude was making Enquiry from me about her, Reuby growled silently.
She has also mastered her Sit command, also loves to play Fetch the Ball game.

My worries is she won’t eat her diamond kibbles.

Do you just start giving her Kibbles? I noticed that in Gemma too when I just started feeding her kibbles, she eat very little of her kibbles even she haven’t finish a whole bad till now it’s like she doesn’t really like it but she eat fish and noodles and other feeds very well

I introduce kibbles to her when I just got her, tho, Was told she was on Canned Food.. so I switch back to Can food
I will introduce it back by August mixed with Can food.
I just hope she eats them..

Reuby teeth are getting sharper and more painful �.
Lhasas are a very intelligent breed, they have a strong will of theirs.
Owners here can quote me if am wrong.

To buttress my last post on how intelligent lhasas are.

FOr this past weekend I have been down, had to treat myself for typhoid and malaria..
The sickness got intense on Saturday midnight.
Through out the night Reuby was with me, lying next to me, giving me that “Oga you better get well soon” look
Fast forward to last midnight, she barked close to 30mins, all efforts to stop her failed. But one thing I noticed as she was barking she was alerting the larger breed in the community to bark too. Guess she must have seen something or heard footsteps.

This trait I like in her, I won’t want to have a lhasa that would only sleep all day and night.
She’s going to be a copy of her Mum, but I will continue socializing her.

Little bro too no wan carry last..

Since Queen Eragon left for a new home.. Reuby has become more active at night..
I never believed that Lhasa apso are great At alerting..
But now I do. Reuby won’t sleep at night, she will put up her guard instincts and bark at any sound or movement..
She specifically chose to sleep on the window so she can see and hear..
Was complaining about Eragon not knowing Reuby own go pass.. From fire to fry pan.
Tho her bark isn’t loud but it’s annoying.

How can this shikini dog be giving me issues .

She was so full of joy and same time well behaved.
She didn’t get carried away with all noise and distractions.

I noticed she walked behind and beside elegantly, but on the way back home, she ran ahead and looked back to check if I’m coming her way..

She’s 18 weeks 6 days old already.
I also notice almost her teeth below are removed, As she’s always crushing bones

I comb her almost every day of the week to ensure no matted or tangled fur.

She’s fond of kissing me ...

What if a local dog out of no where attacks your Lhasa ahead of you and probably carry her and start running away, what are you going to do?

What if she runs towards the road and an incoming car is coming .

You are walking a small dog off leash??

I can't even think about doing that it's too reckless.

Hello friends!!
Being a while here...

Take a look at Reuby and rate her growth.
Got Reuby her harness and leash for walks.
Socializing has been fun. She’s very inquisitive and snuffs damn well..

I have managed to potty train her.
How did I achieve that?

I was home for a week and was attentive to her feeding and water routine..
I started by taking her out after eating to excrete undigested remains out, and also pee, then also in 3/4 hours interval at same spot..
Also At night before I sleep I do same.

The training lasted for a week and it yielded great discipline. She has manage to hold herself till anyone opens the door before she can rush out to wee or poo.

Glad at this development..

Took Reuby out for some walk this morning, and I would say it was a nice one.

I feed her on Canned food mostly and home made meal.

I’m planning on paying her Mom a visit soon, Want to see the reaction between Mother and Daughter.
