By Jayne Usen September 25 , 2010 09 :21 PM print Chidinma Ekile has emerged winner of the season 3 MTN Project Fame at a keenly contested competition which took place at the optima studios Lagos,Nigeria.She was followed closely by Ghananian Kesse(1 st runnerup), Eyo(2 nd runner up) and Yetunde(3 rd runner up). Supringly Tolu Adesina and Ochuko Ogbu-sifo who were crowd favourites came fifth and sixth respectively. With this win Chidimma becomes female winner of the MTN project fame music reality show. She drives away a toyota rav 4 ,2.5 million nair ,and a record deal. Kesse Frimpong won a toyota corolla and 1.5 million naira, Eyo whose win was a suprise to many won a toyota yaris and a million naira while yetunde aka Omo Ibadan won a million naira.the star studded event which was held today September 25 saw a scintilating performance by the month hits artiste, Dr Sid who performes his hits pop champagne and something about you to the delight of the audience. The search for the winner of the MTN Project Fame West Africa began 10 weeks with 18 hopefulls vying for the converted star prize.The reality show began 3 years ago and past winners include Inyanya Mbuk and Mike Anasodo.Judges Kwame,Nomoreloss,Tee-Y Mix,Bibie Brew. Nigerian music producer Cobhams Asuquo was the guest judge for the last two weeks and groomed them on the rudiments of music. Faculty Joke Silva,Ben Ogbeiwi,Kaffyand Dupe Ige. Tonite d contestants performed their own songs(compositions) The release of the debut album of the season 2 winner, Mike Anasodo titled Grown given to guests present at the closing ceremony. The show was anchored by Adora Oleh and Joseph Benjamin. |
