NO RESTRICTION OF MOVEMENTS AS GOV UDOM EMMANUEL COMMISSIONS 17 ROADS, MAY 25


As part of activities to get the people of Akwa Ibom State set for the Completion Agenda of Governor Udom Emmanuel's second term, 17 completed  roads have scheduled for commissioning this Saturday, May 25, 2019. 


Subsequently, the Governor has approved that there should be no restriction of movement during the monthly Sanitation exercise to allow for maximum participation during the monthly Sanitation exercise.

The non restriction of movement during the exercise is also in respect of the Tee -off of the Governor Udom Emmanuel’s victory invitational golf tournament, as well as the Common Entrance Examination for military schools taking place on the same day.



Accordingly, the general public are invited to the commissioning exercise which commences at ONNA by 11.30am with the inauguration of the12.7km Awa Iman-Ikot Edim-Ikot Emem-Ukam –Ikot Ebiere Road 


The train moves to EKET where Lucy Bassey Street, Frank Archibong Street and six other roads are to be commissioned by 12:30pm; thereafter the Governor returns to UYO to flagoff the Akpasak Estate extension and eight other road projects by 3pm.


By this notice, parents are advised to lead their wards to the respective examination venues without fear of molestation, while all officials involved in the evacuation sanitation exercise are enjoined to apply due diligence in ensuring the state wears a clean look, in line with informed statistics which ranks her the cleanest state in Nigeria.
