Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment, has said payment of the N30,000 new minimum wage will begin from April 18, 2019, the day it was signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari. The Federal Government had on May 14, 2019 set up a committee to negotiate the consequential adjustment in salaries arising from the minimum wage.
