Group Felicitates with new Governor of Kwara State and Charges him on Priorities


The People's Voice joins numerous kwarans both home and Abroad to Congratulate Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as the new Executive Governor of Kwara State that May your tenure bring infrastructural, educational and economic fortunes to the State.

Sir, as you officially resumed work, we want your Excellency to look into the followings as Priorities

1. Domestication of Freedom of Information Bill and seeing to its full implementation in the State Ministries and Agencies.

2. Subvention payment to State Higher Institutions .

3. Taking up of the full running of Junior Secondary Schools Education in the State away from Local Government Area Councils.

4. Reduction in the Students' tuition fees in Kwara State University, Malete.

Your Excellency Sir, addressing the above-mentioned issues with all sense of seriousness will place Kwara State in the league of states with good record of good governance, economic transparency and financial accountability.

Once again, congratulations your Execellency.

Congratulations Gov Razaq. May your tenure bring positive change to Kwara.

There are two important issues that plague this state...

1. Poor internet access.

2. Bad roads.

If you visit the Tanke Oke-Odo area, internet is so bad there that you'd be lucky if one webpage loads for you. It should not be that way.

Also, the roads are horrible. Totally taken over by erosion. To move half a km could take 30 minutes. That is how bad the roads are. Nobody is even asking for tar on the road. Just smoothen the roads to alleviate people's suffering.
