The Ministry of Foreign Affairs who spoke on behalf of FG, has stated that they have not abandoned 140 Nigerians in Ethiopian prisons. The Ministry who disclosed that the Nigerian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Bankole Adeoye confirmed the figure of Nigerians in the Ethiopian jail, said they conducted regular consular visitations to Nigerians in various prisons in Ethiopia and the most recent was in January 2019. The FG who maintained that they have not abandoned 140 Nigerians in Ethiopian prisons in a statement signed by the acting spokesman of the foreign affairs ministry, Friday Akpan, in Abuja, on Wednesday, said; “While it is saddening to note that certain Nigerians have been involved in activities that contravene the Ethiopian law, the embassy is working assiduously to ensure that justice is tempered with mercy on the culpable individuals. “The embassy will continue to make necessary legal proceeding involving Nigerians and continue to work closely with the Ethiopian authorities as soon as mission is informed of arrest and detention of Nigerians in accordance with the diplomatic and consular provisions." https://unclesuru.com/2019/05/30/weve-not-abandoned-140-nigerians-ethiopian-prisons-fg/ lalasticlala, seun, mynd44, dominique

Abeg make una let us hear word... Dis is jus to justify ur reaction to bringing back d gal from Saudi Arabia.. Her case was expedited simply becos her family was seriously connected and influential. How many of d other ppl in prisons in other parts of d world have families who can make a call directly to d ambassadors of those countries |
