It means that since Nigerians are fighting small fights such as ethnic, religious and tribalistic "battles" we won't be successful as a nation.

This moniker went to the US and engaged in a green card scam. He was not prepared for the American work system and is unable to work a job that pays good wages. He is unable to cater for his wife and children. If he continues, I will expose more about him.

Bros, don't spread false info pls. Success is not for the lucky ones. Except you mean money. Money is not equivalent to success. An armed robber can rob a bank and steal milions. Do we call him a successful man? Let me tell you, nobody becomes successful by lucky chance. You work hard and work smart and be disciplined and CONSISTENT at doing both, you'll be successful. This is a life principle that ANYBODY can apply and be successful. Lucky ones my foot.

Life principles is what it is and not secret to success. The success here according to the article refers to money/wealth.
What If an armed robber tells u he got his money from his business. grin
If u read my last paragraph, u would understand my own stance. A dangote will tell u the same life's principle but will not mention his ready-made Background or IBB influence, same goes for otedola. Alakija will not mention Obj's oil block. Zuckerberg was in the right place(Harvard) to have met the twins that inspired his ideas. Imagine a Bill Gates born in Nigeria and dropped out from school. Or a Jeff Bezos working at Alaba. What about Ray Croc that hijacked Mc Donald from the siblings, what if he hadn't been in the wondering around for sales?
I can go on and on with people moving with the right people, being at the place and at the right time.

EmagNig:
A Facebook entrepreneur has shared details of his encounter with a successful Nigerian business who revealed to him his personal secret to success.

The man identified as Adesanya Abiodun, in his post, talked about his meeting with the unnamed business man and what he mentioned about his personal secret to success is worth knowing.

Read below:

I once met a very successful business man and I asked him to share his secret with me.

He smiled and said to me..
I started succeeding when I started leaving small fights for small fighters.
I stopped fighting those who gossiped about me…
I stopped fighting over unnecessary issues with my spouse…
I stopped fighting for attention…
I stopped fighting to meet up with public expectation…
I left such fights for those who have nothing else to fight…

“And I started fighting for my vision, my dreams, my ideas and my destiny. Then I started winning big”.

hmmmm very deep…

That was the day I gave up on small fights.
Some fights are not worth your time.

Fight to make your visions and dreams come alive!
Fight the good fight of faith!
Fight for your destiny not for your ego!

Entrepreneurs shouldn’t have time for unnecessary fights!
Visionaries don’t cluster their mind with nonsense bickering!

Always ask, what is this fight adding to my destiny, my goal, my progress?
In Life, people must fight you, they are fulfilling their mission you too must not be distracted in achieving your God’s giving purpose in life..

I understand your stance about chance meetings and all that, but
a.) There are people who made it big without ever stumbling on any chance meeting or lucky environment. They found something small doing and built it day by day without relenting, and by consistently putting kobo upon kobo eventually became wealthy. Go to the east and you'll see an avalanche of igbo billionaires who became successful with this principle

b.) The people you mentioned yes had what is called lucky break or enablements, but without work, discipline and consistency you think they would be where they are? Or you think they are the only people that had those enablements?

Again I reiterate that anybody anywhere can be successful regardless of the circumstances surrounding you. You just have to be willing to put in the work and build patiently, a value that the young men of my generation lacks unfortunately. Everybody is looking for something quick and overnight success. I laugh

Yeah I agree with u but it's a combination of all. Cos the eastern boys too are introduced to such business from early age. And that's the product of being at the right place or being with the right people. wink

Overbite success u say grin there's only one thing to blame for that... Social Media especially Instagram. I pray and hope that one day it gets blocked(wishful thinking) in order to stop these youth of nowadays from running after overnight success. Not knowing that success is like an iceberg with 90% below water and 10% gliding through... cheesy
