Spend how much again?? This shouldn't be about pleasing a people just because they are complaining of being marginalized. No one would dive neck deep in an unprofitable venture. Why the airport generator is switched off in the first place is because the place is always scanty, save on some days. It doesn't make sense spending 20 billion Naira on the airport when it doesn't generate much compare to MMIA.

I have flown on two different occasions to Lagos from Enugu and the passengers on board weren't up to 10 in the entire plane. I even mentioned it on the forum one time. You really need to see the airport and how well people use it to be able to decide whether or not such should be spent on it.

It isn't like we have monies to throw around as a country that would warrant spending such sum on an airport where something barely happens. No one would invest such money just because they want to appease a divide.

Plus, we didn't hear this noise when Stella Oduah diverted the fund meant for the upgrade of the airport. She is a heroine today, according to her and can't be touched because her own would say their daughter is being punished. Putting Akanu Ibiam airport beside MMIA is a laughable comparison.

You are still missing the point. FG is responsible for the upgrade of that Airport. When it is fixed to international standards, more people will start using it. The SE and SS passengers do not have to go to Lagos to leave Nigeria. They may stop over as needed, but not necessarily going to MMIA to board.

When it is fixed, traffic will grow with time. That’s the nature of every business. It is not about pleasing a divide like you claimed, but doing the right thing right. It’s only in Naija that Government looks to profit in everything. This is not business of money making, but service to the people, which is what government is all about in the first place.
