Warri is a place where things happen differently, every wafarian is a potential comedian both young and old, everything you see makes you laugh,it is the city where the Bishop of the whole world lives not even in Rome! Every Warri child is intelligent although some may not be able to express themselves fluently with English but they can convey their message to you with confidence! Warri is one of the city in Nigeria where transportion is relatively cheap (N30 along),and you can find good food and sweet mouth at every spot to top your tank like boli(roasted plantain),kpekere (plantain chips),groundnut, bobozi, moimoi,Akara,Banga rice, with N5 satchet water (pure water)etc. It is said that a wafi babe can literally sit outside her house and everything she needs to cook for that day will hawk pass her and she doesn't need to go to the market! Warri is a place for all without discrimination,it's people welcome strangers with wide hands,it is the home of soccer, entertainment, comedians, singers and a breeding ground for talents, but it's sad that there is really no platform to used these talents,so most of them are running to Lagos! It is also a city of one language"Pigirn English" where English is modified with slangs and our native intonation, for your information_ it's not "Not Bad English" it's Warri's lingua Franca! But note: 1.There are some places you don't sample your phone or pick calls. 2.We don't have 9it life yet so when it is 7pm and you still need to walk about, keep your expensive phone, change the Sim to Rock with me phone(i.e a smaller phone) or esle you are on your own. 3. Everywhere you go pls don't loose guard(i.e be conscious) especially before you stop Keke, look the kind of people when dey inside,if you no like their face, stop another Keke, then when you dey inside the Keke not let your pocket lick make your phone no go lost. 4.Warri no clean sha!!!,it not presentable as a city, even the entrance routes,Enheren junction,Jakpa junction,PTI, Round about etc still dirty. No sweeper like that again, unlike before!.No flowers or trees. 5.This is my own opinion; I think we celebrate "jagudas"(rascal illiterate) more than hard work. How can a group of young guys stop some one who is trying to patch his licking roof in the name of "Deve",stop building project, frustrate surviving companies and their staff, etc.without government approval? How I wish our government and key stakeholders could read this!!! Warri was once our pride, the oil city, where opportunities are available for both the young n old, like our popular slogan "Warri no dey carry last" with securities, night life, street light at night, clean roads and good roads,(like Warri/sapele road).we appreciate the current dredging, but not only dredging the canals, secure it by pilling it with good cement, create opportunities and engage the minds of our youth. So that the prosperity for all Deltans will not only be seen by few persons building more filling Stations,or Plazas,or graduate riding Keke at higher purchase or balance and take but all living quality lives.Warri will be great again! Companies will return........I believe in Warri!Do You? Share it! As an ambassador of your city!
