It is incorrect that "From B'resheet on the scriptures tell us there was no forgiveness without the shedding of blood."

If you read B'reshit / Genesis 4 Cain brought crops as an offering to G-d, not a blood sacrifice. G-d did not reject it because there was no blood -- he rejected it because it was not Cain's best. G-d even tells Cain in that very chapter that he does not need blood for sins -- he simply needs to do his best.

"And HaShem said to Cain, "Why are you annoyed, and why has your countenance fallen? Surely, if you improve yourself , you will be forgiven. But if you do not improve yourself sin rests at the door. Its desire is toward you, yet you can conquer it." B'reshit / Genesis 4:6-7.

YOU can conquer sin. G-d says so!

When you later read about the "sin" sacrifices in Vayikra / Leviticus 5:11 a person may bring "1/10 ephah of wheat meal as a sin offering" rather than an animal or bird.

Flour.

The animals brought as sacrifices were all kosher, domesticated (had to be owned, not wild) animals who were gods of other people. The act was symbolic -- we were killing false gods. Humans were never sacrificed -- killing humans needlessly is forbidden.

Hebrews in the Christian bible lies when it says you need blood to atone -- it was never true.

“Did you offer Me sacrifices and meal-offerings in the desert forty years, O house of Israel?” Amos 5:25.

“Of what use are your many sacrifices to Me? says the L-rd. I am sated with the burnt-offerings of rams and the fat of fattened cattle; and the blood of bulls and sheep and male goats I do not want.” Y’shayahu / Isaiah 1:11.

In fact only mistakes (a missing of the mark = sin) or specific and fairly minor sins (entering the Temple in a state of ritual impurity) could be atoned with blood.


But charity, prayer, repentance and good deeds -- these always atoned for wrong doing.
