Najila Trindade Mendes de Souza insisted during a police quiz yesterday the tablet containing the 7-minute footage was taken during a break-in at her apartment the previous day.

Brazilian media reported police who had checked the door to her flat for fingerprints, found only hers and a cleaner's.

The 26-year-old is said to have broken down repeatedly as she gave a statement to investigators in Sao Paulo, with police having to halt their quiz when she had a 'fit of hysterical crying' as she claimed Neymar raped her last month without a condom according to Brazilian media giant Globo.

A one-minute five second clip of the full seven-minute video was published earlier this week, showing Najila lashing out at the footballer and Neymar reacting by putting his right foot up to her face in an apparent attempt to ward her off.
