ebby29: ebby29: The afore-bolded is the main reason for your VISA Rejection!. You already had a degree with a 2.2, you're ought to apply for a degree that is higher than your already completed degree here in Nigeria. This gave the visa officer the impression that you're likely not going to Canada for career advancement but, using study permit as a means to facilitate entry into Canada and wouldn't depart after authorized period of stay. I would suggest you apply for a post graduate diploma/certificate program that is line with your area of study in order to show a logical progression btwn your previous studies and your intended program. The purpose of Visit prompted the rest of the refusal grounds in your application. Tackle the above and prepare a convincing letter of explanation that would demonstrate that your current situation has substantively changed to merit a VISA to study in Canada. Once you're done with the letter, you can contact some of the knowledgeable individuals here to help review and make possible amendments where applicable. In the interim, start searching for a PGD program that is scheduled to commence in January 2020. Schools like fanshawe, Conestoga, Humber, Cambrian College are still open for winter, 2020 Admissions. It shall end in praises. 2 Likes |

rippyblogger: Hello Rippyblogger, Irrespective of the documents sunmitted as proof for your home ties and/or employment might seem substantial to get get an approval in assumptions, but might not be in terms of convincing the VO either for an easy understanding or processing (to understand the uniqueness of the application. The hindsight of the oversight boils down to the SOP. You might be surprise and curious to finding why the VO refused your application after including the relevant documents that addressed the raised concerns of the VO. The truth is that you didn't properly dot your "i's" and cross your "t's" when connecting and relating your points in a way that addresses your application. In interpretation of the note: the found it less convince that you have showed enough proof that you have a solid family ties in your country. If you are single, you need to show better proof other than your parents and if you are married then show proof of your nuclear family. However, outside ones parents and spouse been considered as the principal home tie, there are other solid ties that can been shown just that some of us fail to think and use the available proof around us. Other popular home ties can be landed properties, current job, propect job offer, investments, organizational membership etc. The economic motives points to the "tangible" level of establishment in your country but not limited to the "intangible," which is how you created lucid facts about your future opportunities and benefits of the prospect course that would permit the VO to buy the idea that the completion of the program would enable you become a well-established professional with available platform to easily sell yourself in your country's labour market or otherwise (becoming self-made). Though, travel history isn't much of a scary reason, but endeavour to give convincing reasons on it when addressing the reason. You should be unique. If you're able to make sense of all been said, I believe you would have better insight on how to go about writing your next SOP. Good luck! 2 Likes |

Good news guys!!! My husband got the Passport request mail just now. Also, he contacted the school and they have given him the option to resume January 2020 if he feels he needs more time to prepare since the resumption time is too close. We have decided to submit his passport to get the visa and he will be deferring his admission to resume in January (since we do not know how many days it will take them to return his passport). This will give his enough time to resign appropriately and make adequate travel plans. Thanks so much @Ca12 and @bex for the advice and words of encouragement given. God bless you both. All the best to everyone waiting. I pray this spurs more good news to come Estar400: 3 Likes |

ebby29: Hello Ebby29, Its good to see a fighting spirit in you, and a good step also requesting for your notes. What was the generic refusal reasons stated. If your resumption is for Fall intake, endeavour to defer to the next possible intake. Best of luck in your next application. |

Good morning gurus...i have a few questions to ask 1)the person in question is a music producer,23 years of age,jst started uni education lst year after having completed secondary school since 2013,got an admission in a college to study sound and music recording,he has some trainin as a keyboardist, music production, sound engineering in which in the visa requirement says one should include certificate of post secondary school.....now how does the person write a well convincing statement of purpose to show that he wants to study in canada with that age gap since end of his secondary school? 2)concernin d financial proof,he wants to use his father bt hes retired...how can one convince d VO by that cos he may think a retiree may nt b able to afford d fees? 3)are landed properties used in place of statement of account or what abi one would need to present both? |

Nobleman61: As it shows; yes, you were all refused with similar (generic) reasons, but as it seems, I believe IRCC have reached the required number of people to be admitted into their country. It won't come as a surprise if the gcms notes is also generic, but it shouldn't stop you from requesting for yours. Good luck! 1 Like |

Hello Gurus, Please what will you advise? I submitted an online application on the 8th of July, 2019 for Sept 4th entry into a PhD program. I submitted an upfront medical result and since then both eligibility and background has been running concurrently. I contacted my sch few weeks ago to defer my admission to January which they acknowledged and issued new entry date to me with funding intact. What do you suggest I do; 1. Should I wait till 8 weeks or Sept 4th and upload the new admission letter. 2. Can I send the new offer letter now? 3. Should I wait for decision before sharing the new offer letter if decision is negative. Please help. |

Hello everyone, I haven't posted here for awhile because I was patiently awaiting the outcome of my application. If a day can get any worse I'd definitely say today August 21. Having had an unproductive day, I got home with a "donotreply" mail awaiting my return. Logged into MyCIC account, downloaded the PDF file and the subject is re: Validity of biometric information. Going by recent trend, I know the outcome already. As I await the other correspondence letter, these are the documents I submitted: (This is my second application. First application was June 2018). .. Date of Application: July 17th .. Correspondence letter : August 21st (BVL) .. All CIC documents .. Letter of introduction from NIIT coupled with some certifications. .. Conestoga College - Mobile Solutions Development. Winter 2020 (Co-op) .. Tuition deposit - $1, 500 .. Statement of Purpose .. Dad's statement of account, company credentials, and landed properties. .. Sisters statement of account, company credentials, and landed properties (Co-sponsor) .. My statement of account .. Birth certificate for all family members .. English proficiency certificate (IELTS) .. These are some of the documents I remember submitting. I applied for winter on time, so as to allow more time for document verification, still it wasn't successful. Times as this you just wonder what went wrong. Before the second correspondence letter comes later today/tomorrow, as many out there reading this I need HELP on my third application. Please. 1 Like |

mzjokky16:my dear please do not mind anybody! Positive responses will still come! Anybody who wants to believe that quota gist should believe and attract it. As long as the gist is not from a cic staff or site, it's baseless and such information should not be shared knowing fully well people are still expecting, so that they can kill themselves before cic even responds? We have seen first hand that cic is unpredictable so please let's not over do the predictions and discourage people without any basis. |
