benque: The OP might have gone for upfront medicals which certainly after submission will be declared and updated as PASSED. However, there are situations whereby applicants receive a medical request from IRCC and at end of day, their application were rejected. Thus, there is nothing that gurantees VISA when it comes to Kenya Immigration Officers. |

waynee2baba: Oh so so sad to hear your application for a study permit of Canada was rejected; @waynee2baba. With your first class in the aforementioned discipline, your best shot could have been to secure a full funded scholarship in Canada rather than opting for an 8 months vocational training program, which is almost equal to your already completed degree. The visa officer would be seeing it from a wrong perspective that you're not a genuine student and probably using study permit as a means to facilitate your entry into Canada rather than educational advancement. Hence, your ability to convince the VO with your SOP would be very difficult considering your high CGPA. Great to hear you've other plans too and not restricting yourself to Canada. I pray and hope your back up plan favours you. It shall end in praises. 7 Likes 1 Share |

benque: Ghana Immigration Officers are presently in charge of processing Permanent Residency Applications for some Nigerian Applicants. They are known to be very slow in dishing out approvals and final decision and at same time good at requesting updated bank statements and payslips from PR applicants during VISA processing. Over the years and at the beginning part of last year, Accra VO were the ones processing study visas applications for Nigerian Applicants. Afterwards in March 2018, IRCC now handed over the power to Kenya and London VO. During this period of time in May-August 2018, London VO started facing heavy backlogs for applicants who applied via the online route, which kept so many applications for over a year. Therefore, In an attempt to reduce the workload for the London VO, In September 2018, Kenya VO was now officially crowned the prime visa office to be responsible of all temporary resident visas coming from Nigeria. I hope this info helps. Feel free to ask me anything, and I'll answer them accordingly. All the best 6 Likes |

benque: Do you've an active Immigration status in Ghana?Let say a valid work permit, a resident permit or study visa? If yes, then your application is likely to be processed within Accra. However, if you don't have any of the listed immigration status, your application will be forwarded to Kenya Immigration office for due visa processing. As per the bolded, this is my 2 and half years of existence on this thread. I am very concious of any information I dish out on this platform. All the best! 1 Like |

In my own opinion I feel all applications for study permit from Nigeria should wait and see how things play out before reapplying. I discovered almost all August and September applicants didn't receive message for medicals before refusals and all that did upfront medicals were issued refusal after passed. I feel if you can call that your admission should be deferred until we know what's actually going on. Apparently, applicants that satisfied all were refused on flimsy grounds. I wish all best of luck |

Frankrobbn1: Thanks a lot man. My initial plan was MSc at UCalgary. They wasted my time too by saying I should chill and they'd assign a supervisor to me. I should have applied for a course-based Masters in other Unis. Admission process is quite cumbersome in Canada too. I even applied to couple of UK Universities and after 3 days.. I had about 5 of them offering up to 50% scholarship for my MSc. I ignored them cuz of Canada. Now 2 years PSW visa is back, I'm deffo prioritising the UK. Admission process in Canada is long, visa long... everything is just complicated lol. Anyway, no hard feelings. I wish y'all Good luck in your future ambitions. Wetin go be go be 3 Likes |

Hello bro, I was also interested in your application. Three years back my brother applied for a study permit in the uk and he got rejected twice for both purpose of visit and immigration status, he later went back to Nigeria and applied for the third time and he got it. With the uk new immigration policy, you’re in the right path. You can always migrate in the future. Goodluck to you bro . waynee2baba: |

[quote author=Frankrobbn1 post=82347413] From the above list of documents presented and GCMS Notes shared by you. I think you've done a great job most especially by getting your dad to transfer a landed property to you (the son) as a Deed of Gift and also providing you with a written documentation that you're the next of kin to his 12M RSA Investment account here in Nigeria.Meanwhile, I hope the Deed was backdated to few years back and also it's commerical value (worth). Backdating the deed would further buttress the fact that you're well-established in your home country long before your previous study visa rejection and that the economic incentives in Nigeria far outweighs that of Canada. Therefore, you've no intention to stay in Canada beyond the validity period of your permit. With regards to your SOP, I would suggest you contact any of the knowledgeable individuals here who will vet and make possible corrections in the letter where applicable. It shall end in praises Hello gurus, I received this refusal mail yesterday and felt the world is crumbling on me. I did everything possible, sponsorers account of 32m, personal account of 1.2, traveled to Gambia to gain experience, paid acceptance fee, my boss wrote a reference letter etc only to get this heartbroken mail Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your student permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds: I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your travel history. + + + + + You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee. Sincerely, IRCC Nairobi High Commission of Canada to Kenya www.cic.gc.ca Please how can I order for gcms note? Thank you |

Brawn92: zamony: DiamondFM: DBlessedofGod: SOGalex: Olatycoon: WOW!!!!!!!! REFUSALS ARE JUST FLOWING AROUND ON THIS THREAD !!!!!. This is so disheartening . and I really feel for you guys. I can understand how you all would feel at this point in time, having invested your time and effort in the process. Nevertheless, the best possible way is to quickly order for your GCMS notes, defer your Admission if you feel there is limited time for you to meet up for the winter term, repackage your application immediately your GCMS notes arrives by including new documentations that will show that your current situation has substantively changed to merit a study VISA, contact any of the knowledgeable individuals on this thread to help Vet your SOP/LOE to be sure you've done the right thing and have adequately tackled the concerns raised by the visa officer in your previous application. Pray to God for grace because it can only be him, then Reapply.! It shall end in praises. 1 Like |

WeirdKidinClass:You are required to add all extra document as a single pdf. After writing your SOP attach all the other documents(transcript, police clearance, birth certificate, etc). You are seeing not submitted to IRCC because you haven’t paid the visa fee. After Payment it will be submitted |
