My guarantor is my siblings with the same last name and he swore an affidavit to justify it and the lawyer attached a red seal.I served in 2016/2017..I did a contract job with a pension company but presently off job and I have been trying to acquire skill in shoe making .Let me add..No travel history ?

Your profile appears good as a there is a strong connection between your past experiences and current employment status... Never to worry, your lack of travel history doesn't adversely effect your application. We have seen peeps who got their visas without one. Also, make sure you've adequately crossed all T's and dot all i's in your letter of intent (though, I won't be available at moment to vet this letter on your behalf). Also, remember to include a study leave approval letter if your program is less than 2 years.

My best wishes are with you. Keep the house posted as you progress in your application.

I wish I can help, but I will not lie, I am very busy with school work etc, and i do not really know much about undergrad admissions.
I do know it is about same process, just not familiar with the requirements for them.
But go to the US thread, I am sure you will find people who can help there.

This is so sad. I applied on 8th August. My application just changed to "we are reviewing your eligibility". Though I don't know how long it takes. I'm actually scared right now. I'm really sorry about this.

With the recent rejections for study visa applications from Nigeria. If anyone should seek for my opinion, I see no need ordering for GCMS note most especially when the refusal is from Kenya, Immigration office as these VO's at the Canadian embassy tend to copy and paste GCMS notes for every refused applicant.... Using the word - "Vague and Poorly documented Study Plan,.....Taking the applicant plan of studies into account, the applicant doesn't appear to be sufficiently well-established that the proposed studies would be a reasonable expense,......... Given family ties or economic motives to remain in Canada, the applicant's incentives to remain in Canada may outweigh their ties to their home country.........According to the applicant's current or future employment prospects, I have accorded less weight to their employment ties to their country of residence.... Based on the information, I am not satisfied applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay"..... as a reason for a visa refusal. I can outrightly attest that if 100 person's were rejected of their VISA'S lately, 98% if not all will see the above reason in their GCMS note. Hence, my put forward proposal that GCMS note is irrelevant at this point in time.

PS: This post is open for any critics whatsoever. However, before doing so, make sure you're with your facts and figures. Whilst, I also present mine as well. This is my observation from so many applications and complaints I have been receiving from applicant's whose Applications were delayed.

So true!

Please gurus in the house, I really need your help. First of all, I graduated with a third class and in light of that I decided to apply for a diploma but unknown to me, I was supposed to apply for a postgraduate diploma (my friend pointed this out to me after she saw my LOA) what do you think about this please?
Secondly, I'm trying to draft my SOP now and I need your advice on how to go about this, I graduated since 2016 and served 2017 and since then I've been teaching, I can't add it because I didn't study education.
Also, I've undergone trainings relating to catering and I also have a registered business on that. Can I add this to my SOP?? Please how do I go about all of this? Help gurus

Hello TosiiNO,

To avoid repetitions, search for monikers named Bracha, Sopwriter, Qadkom, Wayne2baba and read through their posts. They gave an extensive guide on how to write a SOP.

BTW you can include your registered business, it will serve as home ties.

Good luck!

Wondering how people are still applying upon series of refusals. In whole August and September, none was invited for medical and doesn't bother, seriously? The prime minister(PM) election is October 21st or something, and I heard it's because of this embassy are giving refusals because apparently the Liberals have different policies, especially Immigration policy, from the Conservatives. And not until after election things might not change. I have always known something is not right. Just sad that I fell into this group of victims but I will re fire immediately after the election.
Peace

I don’t think the election has anything to do with the recent refusals , it could be due to a reason not clear to us, but definitely not the election!

It could be the domino effect of “Victus Obi” fraud case in the USA on other citizens. Seems like they don’t believe anybody from Nigeria.

I don't know why IOM keep calling me to come back after medicals.
The first time they said to re-do the X-ray. Went there again and it was done and they said all is fine now and apologised.
Today again they are calling to come again....

Please has anyone been or seen anyone in such situation?

NOTE: I did this upfront medical a day before my last app was refuse. Wanted to send it via webform. So I don't have an application running.

Anyone seen or heard such about IOM?
Pls ans me.

Good pm to the travel gurus in the house. I want to apply for a polytechnic in Canada. I am a graduate of geography and meteorology. Finished service in 2016, then joined my family importation biz with plans to further my education later. I want to apply for office administration, for Jan 2020 session. Fees are intact. Just wondering about my chance for visa.

Good day Nairalanders wink, this is my first time dropping a message here but I have always been on the background reading. I appreciate everyone contributing here for the knowledge shared.

My question is to those currently in Conestoga College or recently applied to the school or have knowledge of the application system of the school. I will like to know if it's compulsory to send my Nigerian transcript first to WES or the other body for evaluation before applying on the Ontario College application centre OR can I upload my official transcript in its original form directly?

I will appreciate your kind response. Thank you in anticipation.
