Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Oluwanifemi34: 12:04pm On Oct 09, 2019 |
Please what do you think about my financial status! I gained PGD international development admission to a school in Ontario. I personally have 3m in my account with two acres of land and a house. I have paid 20,000$ out of my 25,000$ tuition. My sponsor which is my blood sister has 6m in her company account, she has a house too. I can ask her to move the 6m to her personal account. |

Oluwanifemi34:So what will she eat or take care of herself after transferring the 6m to you? Proof of funds is not just about showing big figures but about how you are able to distribute it accordingly. Let's do it this way: You have paid 20k already and have a balance of 5k to pay, so you need to provide 5k + 10k(living expenses for a year). Let's say the 3m in your account covers your living expenses, so you need CAD 5k and flight fare+let's say CAD 2k) = CAD 7k Let your sister transfer the naira equivalent of CAD 7k to you , that way she will still have some cash in her personal account for herself and other dependants. I want to believe your program is for a year, but if it is not then let your sister act as the main sponsor and you as the co-sponsor. This way you don't have to show funds beyond the first year but your sister (the main sponsor) will have to show how she intend to pay for subsequent years+by showing how she makes her money......if she works then she needs to show proof and how much she gets paid for it, if she is into business she also needs to show proof). 4 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Oluwanifemi34: 2:18pm On Oct 09, 2019 |
I am not saying she should transfer the 6m to my account. The 6m is in her company account which she can easily transfer to her personal account because I read it here that it's not good idea you use company account only unless your sponsor split the money and send little to personal account. What if I also add my mom to my sponsor, with 2m SOA. Does it make sense? mcobex: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by mcobex: 2:55pm On Oct 09, 2019 |
Oluwanifemi34:The issue here is not adding people's SOA but how much are they contributing towards your studies. Adding your mom's SOA of 2m isn't bad, but how much of that money is she committing towards your studies? As for your sister, she can't transfer all the money from her company account because she needs to show she has enough to still run her business after sponsoring you. What's the duration of your program? That will give me a better idea of your case |

It's a year program. So what do you recommend!? mcobex: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by mcobex: 5:07pm On Oct 09, 2019 |
Oluwanifemi34:Since it is one year, you should act as the sponsor (since you paid 20k yourself) , while your sister act as co-sponsor then she needs to transfer the balance of CAD 7k into your personal account (for the balance of your tuition fee + flight or your living expenses). NB: I saw your PM , but sorry I don't attend to PMs for now. Feel free to ask all questions here and I will try to attend to them if I am chanced, also it gives other people the opportunity to say what they know so we can all learn . Good luck 1 Like |

Yeah... I think it is okay. Also hold the sponsor's letter of sponsorship too... (to explain or give credence to the SOA you are carrying) But do not fret too much. I do not think you will be asked about money. And if they even ask you, tell them the amount you have on you. Most of them know students do not carry a lot of cash on them while travelling. mzjokky16: |
