dear all, Please does transiting through Turkey mean i am coming from a red zone? i have booked a flight via turkish airlines and now seeing news around it being a redlist country. Transiting through Turkey, do i need to compulsorily isolate in a hotel? Any info/advice will be welcome |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Cyclops33: 12:57am On Jun 04, 2021 |
Sorry bro, I thought it would be easier for you considering you already got one previously, anyway you can correct the reason for refusal and reapply immediately kunzzy4me: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Ashirioluwa: 2:56am On Jun 04, 2021 |
Iruosonobrugwhe:Yes because Turkey is among the UK red list countries. Avoid transiting through the red list if you can. Also the red list rule will affect you because you have close contact with other passengers while boarding at Turkey airport and also while seating inside the plane from Turkey to UK. |

Cyclops33: Abi ooo...my thought too..because I got the visa bfor with same document and everything..reason for refusal was that I state 6days ...that am I not aware that I will have to stay in hotel for 10days quarantine period ..ofwhich I explain to them in my cover letter that I have 30days approved leave from work ..so.. 2nd reason that my budget is small for that period of stay ..my acct balance was 3.8m..i no understand ooo...I think that was an error from dere end because how can 3.8m be too small for a trip of 6days let even said 16days plus the 10days quarantine..I might need to write them dough .. |

kunzzy4me:Agreed you have 30days leave but you stated 6 days in your application so that is what the caseworker would go by. Maybe put up the refusal letter on here when you find the time and people on here can dissect it better for you. 1 Like |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Nchabuomo: 8:26am On Jun 04, 2021 |
kunzzy4me: The 2nd reason should be an error on their part. For example, my budget has never been up to 3m, normally ranges between (1-1.4m) and no one has ever said it was too small for my estimated stay, most times longer than 10days. On 1 if your travel date falls within the lockdown restriction timeline then perhaps you should have reflected that in your application. Personal advice: do not do a cover letter unless it is absolutely necessary and you are sure it addresses issues you could not have addressed in the form itself, rather focus on doing a proper application and answering the questions in the application form as clearly as possible. Perhaps you should challenge the decision. Good luck! |

If I were you I will re- apply immediately correcting theses minor errors provided the time can still accommodate your leave period, it is not in the place of the caseworker to assume for you but will simply go by the 6 days you said you will spend, you might want to extend this to accommodate your isolation period. Secondly because your account balance reads 3.8m doesn’t mean you want to spend the whole funds, you might want to re- calculate your travel budget and don’t go with your last application’s budget because naira might have fallen significantly against pounds after your last application. 2 Likes |

Iruosonobrugwhe: Call them to cancel the ticket. I believe they will understand you because UK immigration will only allow their residents / citizens and that of Irish into UK |

Hello, greetings to everyone here, please I want to apply for a UK tourist Visa 6months to be precise, I am a student, and just recently entered my final year in the university(private uni)my family friend is inviting me over to spend my summer holiday with them and my uncle is sponsoring the trip, I intend going second week of July and to be back 1st week of october to continue with my final year in school, my personal bank statement is good, Atleast there's a steady flow of income going in and out(upkeep)but my uncle will be responsible for every finance needed, I'll be staying with my family friend over there. Please I need an advice on how to go about the applications because I'm a novice in this field, I've only traveled within Africa, please your guidance on how to go about it, would be highly appreciated, please help a brother |

Laturuturu: Lol as google that we is. What kind of information do you need? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Nchabuomo: 11:10am On Jun 04, 2021 |
Judeosho: I will recommend your Uncle transfer your travel expense to you that way you are just going to present one account. A letter from him stating the money is for your trip to the UK for excellent academic performance bla bla bla should suffice. Your family friend can do a letter that they are your friend and would be happy to host you for the duration of your stay. A letter from your school to show that you are a student and would be entering your final year in October would be helpful too. Others here with a similar situation such as yours might also be able to offer better insight 3 Likes |

Thanks so much...God bless you, but is there no way my uncle can just provide his bank statement which shows that his capable enough to shoulder such responsibilities rather than directly sending me the money? Nchabuomo: |

Judeosho: That might not fly Best approach is for him to send the money into your account, so I can reflect directly in your account |

@ Tutu82 please my dear friend I want to disturb you again ooh, please I need format on consent letter. Also my i want to submit my account details and my wife own, while the big lump is in my account. Thank you. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Nchabuomo: 12:37pm On Jun 04, 2021 |
Judeosho: Sure he can. It's just clearer if the money was already in your possession but yes he can provide his account statement. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Nobody: 12:43pm On Jun 04, 2021 |
Juddy2018: It’s easier if you transfer the funds into your wife,s account and do a letter of consent to cover it.You are not travelling just her. There is no format on consent letter just introduce yourself to them as her husband and financial sponsor and you transfered ...to her on ...for the purpose of...simple and straight to the point then signed it alongside your email address and contact number. 1 Like |
