People evolve.
Things evolve.
God doesn't evolve, he's perfect, but he expects us his children to evolve.
Evolve in change of ideas.
Evolve in beliefs.
Evolve in persuasions and decisions.

These are what changes men: the level to which they are willing to evolve.

When I was introduced into the Christian faith, there were theories I held about life, God and people.

Most of these theories were not shaped predominantly by the word of God, but by religion and the doctrine of my denomination.

I called so many things sin, and I was very quick to condemn others.

I made some handful of friends as a result of that and more silent foes.

Some persons actually became afraid of me, maybe not really because I told them the "truth", but because I was always Judgemental and my message was nothing short of hell and fire and brimstone.

Don't blame me, I was only reflecting the nature of my intake.

I thought the threat of hell was going to make men change and live for God.
But it didn't.

As I grew in the word of God, I took out time to question the basis of my beliefs and compare them with scriptures.

I opened my heart to some Ministers in the word, and attended so many programs and events.

Then I began to discover that I had been acting under the influence of sheer religion.
I was not really a Christian, I was just some religious person that kept to a lot of DO's and DON'Ts.

As I discovered this error. I began reading and studying more of the scriptures and to my amazement, I found out so many things that were different from what I had always preached and "hammered".

I love God far more than my church, or what it teaches.
I cherish people's souls more than religion and traditions of men.

So,

I BROKE OUT OF RELIGION!

That's why I wrote this post to CORRECT all the seeming errors I've propagated in time past on this platform.

I'll keep on preaching the truth, but I've decided to show people more of the love of Jesus than the fires of hell.

Of course, I believe hell exists and that it would be used as a system of punishment for disobedience, but I'd talk more about the love of Jesus than the fires of hell.

Why? Because, the fear of hell DO NOT save men.
I found this out by experience.

Though, so many persons do not know I've moved on in my opinions and philosophies about God, and so they still look at me with "those eyes", and I also know there is little or nothing I can do to savage that, except of course by this post,...
I guess there are some errors in life that is not so easy to correct.

So, folks, I've moved on in God.
I love him so much that I can't think of ever displeasing him to please myself, and I wish to spread this word around.

Let's preach the LOVE of Jesus to men and not the threats of hell.

Let's focus on what informs the behavior and character of men and not on DO's and DON'Ts, because no man can keep the law, except by the agency of grace.

Let's tell people to dress moderately and godly, and not the type of clothes to wear.

Let's tell people they should take serving God seriously and not that they should attend church services every Sunday. If they are serious in their relationship with God, and their place of worship is a place that teaches the truth, you wouldn't need to tell them to be regular in meetings.

In all, let's be open to GROW.
