A ghastly motor accident occurred this morning in front of the St Peter Catholic church at Oko Police station off Dr. Alex Ekwueme’s residence along Umunze road Oko.

The accident which involved a tipper and a tricycle, took the lives of three passengers that were in the tricycle at the time of this accident.

Two of the casualties died instantly while the other two which includes the Keke driver were seriously injured.

According to an eyewitness account, the tipper man was on a high speed when he ran over the Keke, while trying to overtake another tipper and knocked the tricycle into the gutter, crushing all the occupants.

One of the dead casualties, a female, was identified as Ogechi from Abakiliki, a final year student of Federal Polytechnic Oko while the second person identified as Mma Emma from Nsukka was said to be a woman selling food close to Oko poly.

It was gathered that the tipper driver and his bus conductor took to their heels and ran into the nearest police station after the accident. Consequently, angry spectators wanted to set the tipper on fire, but the police intervened and took the tipper to their station.

So my nephew was having his birthday on Saturday. He had disturbed my life for ps4. That Thursday I just decided to surprise him. Small time I hear paaaan paaan. That trailer wey dey carry sand dey our back. This marwa man no send o he still wan park pick passenger in front of trailer. Trailer man dodge am waka go. I turn back warn the man he just shrugged,picked the passenger and continued. Weyrey instead make he calm still dey speed wan overtake the same trailer wey dodge am. If you know baruwa road you go know say the pothole be like where volcano erupt. E baad gaan. Trailer dey avoid pothole dey avoid marwa. Na so I dey shout Jesus like say na him send me message. FAM when I see say the trailer nearly don overrun us I use all my strength push the marwa. The thing sway ,still on motion o. Na trailer just manage avoid us with that manoeuvre. Else shibaraba go don go and no one would notice here. As trailer pass I manage drag Mr keke outside. I load am 5 gig slap like 3 times to reboot him system first. People sha come beg make I leave am. Because e be like say since village people no get me na him dem hire.

The problem with Nigeria is with the people
Simple driving rules, patience and giving way would have prevented this catastrophe.
Both keke and tipper are known for reckless driving with no consequences especially in Anambra.
Asides the usual ranting about the government, we are wicked as a people to our selves, like inmates in a prison, harming and extorting ourselves.
The only blame the government has here is not enforcing the law, as usual, I am sure this will be 'settled' with no one going to jail and the tipper will be back on the road in no time.
