Peace be unto you in the name of our Lord Jesus.

Make your calling and election sure Part 1

2 Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
1:11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Beloved, giving your life to Jesus Christ is a calling. You have been called to repentance, to show forth His light, to good work, to express His love, to preach the gospel, to live Holy and Righteous and many more. You have to walk worthy of this calling. You have to make your calling and election sure. To do these, there is a thing you must make sure you do - you must be very diligent.

Your calling is not a call to slothfulness but a call to diligence. Without due diligence, a man will find it very difficult to attain and make his calling sure. There are things you must do after giving your life to Jesus Christ, but this will be done when you are diligent. I tell you if you are diligent in taking the necessary steps as stated by GOD through Peter, you will be welcomed to Heaven to open arms. You have to be diligent in your walk with GOD.

The following are the steps of making your election sure:
- Be diligent
- Be good to all.
2 Peter 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue;

By faith, you have believed in Christ Jesus, to your faith, add Virtue. Virtue in this context is been good to all men. Beloved, follow the footstep of our Lord GOD who is good to all, giving rain to both the wicked and the godly. He gave His only begotten Son to die for ALL men not only for the Israelites but all. So likewise, Beloved, you are begotten of the Father, live also like Him. Be good to all without exception, make use of every opportunity to do good work wherever you are. Jesus went about (diligence) doing GOOD. (Acts 10:38) Wherever you go, wherever you find yourself, if they love you or not, if they appreciate it or not, always be a man of virtue (doing good at ALL times).

James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

- Increase in the Knowledge of GOD. 2 Peter 1:5 ... and to virtue knowledge;
Beloved, there is a need to increase in the knowledge of the Word of GOD for by it, you will grow thereby.

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
Spiritual growth, steadfastness in faith and making your election sure requires daily feeding on the Word of GOD, you have to crave for it daily, the Word of GOD will strengthen you and help you in the long run as a Christian. You must study and meditate on the Word of GOD daily, know ye not that whatsoever you fellowship with you become like. Fellowship with the Word and you will become like the Word(Jesus Christ).

Now, Beloved, not only babes needs milk, grow ups also need meat. Please Beloved don't relegate the Word of GOD, it is most needful (Luke 10:42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.) which cannot be taken away from you. GOD has food and nutrients to give you on a daily basis in order to strengthen you as His son and thereby make your calling sure.
Are you rejecting His food on a daily basis?
How consistently do you eat from Him? Beloved, give diligence to study of the Word of GOD.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Beloved, take note that diligence is very paramount in making your election sure. All steps you take to make your election and calling sure require diligence.

Beloved, be diligent, be good to all men; be a man of virtue and study the Word of GOD daily without fail that you may increase in knowledge of Him who had called you.

Beloved, make your calling and election sure. Remember from the anchor scripture, you shall never fall when you give due diligence to making your calling sure.

Prayer: Lord GOD, I receive grace and strength today to make my calling sure. Help me O Lord that I will not fail in giving diligence to do this in Jesus name. Amen.

You have prayed and He will surely help you but you have go to work. Beloved, the time is now!!!
