In an “unconfirmed” report in 2016,more than 70% of Nigerians living in the uk were said to be illegals or having one immigration issues or the other.
The fact is most illegal immigrants have , at a point entered into the country legal either as students, visitors etc.Some have be denied their application to extend for right to remain or non challantly overstayed, others for various other reasons completely beyond them.
It’s is also a very obvious fact , that life is already a tad difficult if you migrate to another country.

Even with all the right papers , the struggle is real as they say. The continuous fight to adapt, get your feet on the ground in an unfamiliar society, perhaps to probably, bring your family to live with you.So one can only imagine, the hardship the people who have to hide under the radar, don’t have right to work, can’t travel and almost restricted in every form must be going through.It is very disheartening to know some have been in this situation for donkey years with no solution in view. That your uncle or aunt that you barely hear from, that cousin whom you now resent for failing to meet any of your demands might be in this situation.

This is usually a very sensitive subject and lots of people shy away from discussing it,mostly ashamed actually for the fear of being judged, mocked, questioned or in the very worst case scenarios turned over to the authorities
