yeah! Mark Zuckerberg and warren buffet have poverty stricken mentality... True
They will not flinch when they see a suit with price tag of $2000.
Neither will they condemn anyone who wore one. They have more expensive art piece costing over $50milliin dollars

Art pieces are investments. Their prices quadruple when they are aunctioned. These men, Warren especially invest in assets not liabilities ...Believe you me, they flinch at exorbitant prices of clothes. Trust me.

I need to be convinced, they are friends of Bill Blass, Tombalini , late Karl lagerfeld ,Carlos Slim who wore suit store tags that are high.
Our own Dangote, does he wore bend down and select?
Oscar De Renta wears are not liability they are investment, can be taken back to a mesuem if requested

shut up!!! How did she get the money to buy such a dress, her husband claim not to be worth above 30million naira, so tell me why she would get a clothe of 1.5million naira if not that they have more money gotten from corruption.
Don't you think you're a fool if you really believe what her husband told you?

How much should her dress cost?
It should not cost more than the approved minimum wage in Nigeria. sad And why is she patronising foreign designers? Are there no good designers in Nigeria? Can't she learn from other first ladies before her, on how to promote Naija fashion? angry

I think most nairalanders should just grow up. The woman in question is the first lady of Nigeria. What is 1.5 m naira to her. She came from a very wealthy family, she has children who are doing well, she is a business woman. Most of our celebrities today flaunts handbags, wristwatches, even hair attachments that are worth over 5m naira.
Oga, stop looking for excuses to justify her spendthrift nature, and extravagant, expensive tastes. She and her husband keep preaching "buy Made in Nigeria" to grow the naira, but is she practicing it? No! angry So na who be mugu? How much does she even earn as a First Lady, each month?

You also said "she comes from a wealthy family." Which kind of wealthy family? How much are they worth? shocked What kind of businesses do they own? Is her family as rich as Dangote? How many have they empowered?

As for her kids, abeg don't even go there. When did her kids finish school? How much are their monthly salaries?

Is it Yusuf that is a corper that will buy her 1.5 million dress on his corper's allowance? Or is it Zahra who is dependent on her husband's house keeping allowance, that will do so? undecided

Hmmm.... so what if she stretches...or bends ... puts stress on such dress and it rips.... then what? Is that how you want Nigeria First Lady to go viral?
And yes... I agree with you 100%.... she should wear at least local designers to boost local sales. Michelle Obama did so.... for herself and kids... and that was a huge boost for the local designers and stores. E.g... she bought clothing from J.Crew.... saw an interview... the guy had all his suppliers on standby.... whatever she or her kids wore... were all sold out immediately after they appear in public. The designer for her inauguration dress was a local guy... he became famous overnight. She should promote local..

So you think expensive dresses cannot get ripped? shocked Think again. It is how well a dress is sewn that matters, not how high the price tag on it looks, or how expensive it is, that makes it last.

so because her husband is worth 30million..that is the reason why she would buy a 1million naira dress abi..she's not conservative at all.Dat was how her son bought a 55million naira power bike....

Buhari is a scam

Her son inlaw can buy her thousands of that,

Besides is she paid allowances accrued to the first lady position

Expensive dresses can be ripped... but not easily like.ehmmm.... minimum wage dresses which almost always have low thread count. It doesn't matter how well sewn ... of the dress is made of poor quality material... it will not last and likely to easily rip... fade... run... shrink...or disintegrate. If a brand name... then depending on the name... a premium is charged to wear that brand making it wayyyy over priced.

Oga, stop it please. Minimum wage is how much, now? 30k. So a dress of 30k can be ripped easily? Where do you buy your own clothes? shocked

Even Dolapo Osinbajo the wife of VP Osibanjo has told everyone before that she buys Ankara of less than 10k and she sews it into beautiful designs for official functions. Have you ever ever seen her clothes getting ripped?
