I just received the saddest news of my life that I'm being deployed to kebbi
the dominant ethnic groups there are Hausa and Fulani and I can't speak Hausa plus the fear of Fulani herdsmen. in short I don't want to have anything to do with these people. please what do I do?
somebody should help me because I'm loosing it

I was posted to Zuru way back 2014 batch B. Kebbi state is one of the peaceful states in the country and the people are very hospitable and friendly. The cost of living is fairly okay and very very few cases of criminal activities like you mentioned. Fulani and Hausa are not the only tribes you can find in the state, you can also find Yoruba, Igbo, Nupe and other tribes mixed up among the indigenes. The NYSC camp is located in Dakingari and is one of the best in the country with steady electricity, well ventilated rooms and steady water supply and including security. If you prefer a neutral way of life and a good place to enjoy your service year I strongly recommend you work it out to Zuru, Zuru local government and maybe anyone of these; Alero, Jega, Argungu and the state capital Birnin Kebbi.
You can inbox me for more details. All the best bro. #ONELOVE cool cool cool

Lol.

You don't have to be afraid, Kebbi is one or better still the most peaceful state in Nigeria, it's actually true to it's slogan; the land of equity.

Serving in Birnin-kebbi, the state capital has been really an interesting one for me, firstly, The power supply is relatively constant, I can boost of days of 24hours power supply (opportunity for me to increase my graphics skills)

Food is relatively cheap, yes, compared to other states.

and many other benefits of serving in Kebbi.

It is still a matter of choose to stay though.

Am still learning my hausa language. Sallah maleku. cool

I think you have to go to Aduwawa in Benin, there is a park around there that goes directly to Kebbi.
.
.
OR
.
Take a bus to Abuja and then to Kebbi.

It is 20 - 24hours journey depending on how fast the bus is, to make it before camp opening you have to go on time, the cost is around 8-9k because of the rush.

I assure u that negative impressive about Hausa/Fulani will be cleared within few days of your arrival in Kebbi.
My advice for u is after camp try to be posted in either Zuru, Yauri, Jega, Argungu local govts (argungu and Jega are closer to Sokoto)

Kebbi is actually one of the most peaceful States in Nigeria. If you still want to go to with this batch, you MUST camp at Kebbi before you can relocate.
For those would like to relocate using health as an excuse, With only 1000 Naira, I can get you a medical report that will help fasten your relocation request to your place of choice
if i want to go with the next batch nko?. I learnt that once you've been given a state to serve. that's where you'll surely serve even if you decide to go with the next batch

your best bet is to attend camp and apply for relocation at camp. When you do so in camp using medical reasons, there's 80% success rate to get the state you want

Lol grin I remember in 2017 i felt this way posted to kebbi state shocked I thought you have to be callously unfortunate to be posted there I could not believe my eyes... 16 hours journey my ynash oh angry well life in the camp is cool as you will meet other people not majority Hausa or Fulani, although there are a lot of Yoruba's in kebbi state let me not forget the sun and harmattan if it's hot it's extremely hot if it's cold it's extremely cold not much inbetween..... As for the girls grin they have a plan to live of your pocket in camp.. If you have cash pls save it most of them are redeployin no dull your self.. As for security they tried in camp.. But be careful on first day I was almost robbed at gun point in the male hostel but as a Uniben boy ( ekosodin for those who know) I discharge sharply.. Though the soldiers told us to remember faces I don't think my attacker was a corper cos I never saw him again.. As for marching and drills me I no follow.. All in all it was a nice experience we laughed, we played, they marched grin,I redeployed tongue..

No there's none, in fact Hausa's are very accommodating. Just shy away from any religion or political discussions.

Also abeg any place like Maami to drink beer and what of babe paroles?

Gusau has a maami market and an officer's mess where people drink beer and socialise, but the jist I've been hearing about Birnin Kebbi is unencouraging.

I'm not a corper by the way so I'm not talking about NYSC maami market.

Lol, It's been almost 6 years I served and I don't base in Kebbi state anymore. I keep in touch with the few friends I made out there till date. To answer your question, I need to know where you are coming from to compare the life styles of the two places for you to know if you can fit in.
