i was in lagos with my girlfriend and she would always hold my hand like she was scared i would be run over by the traffic. then the police car passed and they shouted she should hold me well or something while laughing


then some hours later the same car was coming again and they stopped to let us cross, shouting we should say thank u for that (in a joking way, not angry)


then when we arrived in our hotel, a group of 6 or so police guys were sitting in the entrance hall and they were the same ones as the 2 times earlier that day.


my girlfriend was still in the car this time. their leader said "i know this person" pointing to me, since we all remembered eachother from those 2 occasions. and they were laughing and i had a brief chat with them


then my girlfriend came to the hotel room and said the police said to her "we are looking for the white man" to scare her. then they joked about it and she gave them 1000 naira


good times, they seem friendly


my gf said jokingly "they like you, you should be their boss" but i thought "hey yeah, that would be so cooool"
