Honestly, there's no excuse. You LOCKED your door. That clearly says stay off. He should have no reason or desire to go in there.
For me, the problem isn't even the clothes he took but the breach of boundaries.
He couldnt call you? Send you a message? Seriously! Oh Lord, my siblings know better so do i.
Respect is reciprocal oh! He showed you disrespect first and he ought to apologize for messing with your stuff. But pride and righteous indignation will not let him.
You should talk to him, establish boundaries before saying anything remotely like an apology. If he has any type of pride, he will treat your things with care.
