8 In 2015 under Labour Party he became the Senator representing Delta Central senatorial district

9 In 2017 he defected from Labour Party to All Progressive Party

10 In 2018 he led a group of thugs that invaded the Senate Chamber and stole the Mace.

11In 2019 he became the First Senator from the Southern part of Nigeria to become the Deputy Senate President of Nigeria.
