Buhari caused it, in fact, INEC issued them certificate of return. Every wailer has gone blind to see this day light robbery. Where are the confused constitutional lawyers? Selfish and wicked law breakers . where are the " our oyel" crew? Have they all gone into oblivion? They are about to impoverish the people more and everyone is keeping mute. Shame on you too for playing deaf and dumb.

This is very wrong because it is a minor political office with a tenure of 4 years which can be renewed even for life if re-elected for life. Governors, Presidents have 4years maximum of 8years.

Don't mind those ingrates.
Pension for serving for only 4/8years, while the average civil servant who served the state for 30yrs upwards before pension is being owed arrears running into years.

Have they for once debated why our elderly are being left to live in abject poverty? No.

Bayelsa has a lot of things for those legislatures to debate on like;

Why there is no electricity in yenegoa such that even the state assembly and government house runs on generators.

Why there is no single production/manufacturing industry in yenegoa/bayelsa.

Why 90% of confectionery sold within the state comes from neighbouring states

Why asides civil service there is no other means of employment in the state.

Why the state water boards only exist on paper as no tap anywhere is running.

Why social services ministries are practically not on ground.

Just to mention a few.

So if with all these and more the problem of this 6th assembly. is their pension, they are worth being called ingrates.

And for those shouting PDP n co, have u ever heard lawmakers either at the local, state or federal level quarrel when it comes to sharing money?
They are all same.
Make Bayelsa an APC state today and they will still push this abomination through.

Where the 5th failed, the 6th will also.

I'm still trying to comprehend the absurdity of such bill?
There's an existing law as regards insurance policy(personal) and its left for them to key into such.
They need not waste valuable time collecting allowances to put up another for mischief reasons.

Except of course they intend using ill gotten monies for such purposes at the expense of those who voted or rigged them in.

Please do not make the bold as part of your beautiful statement.
There are States where the leadership is of the APC and we are yet to hear such absurdities of any nature.
So lets not assume.
One thing which our legislative houses lacks is vision, and till we have that, we're far from great and meaningful expectations.

It shows they are out there for themselves and not the people. The masses and constituency need to call them to order or stop voting for them. It’s a sad situation.

Politicians don't deserve pension because they are not civil servants. They are elected politicians who only stays for 4 years or more if re-elected.Politticians from other state should not copy Lagos state where Lagos state lawmakers are godchildren to tinubu. For them to compensate tinubu for installing them as senators they decided to amend the law to make tinubu a pensioner for life. This includes renewing his cars to brand new ones every 3 years and building houses for him..Lagos state retirees who served the state for 35 years don't enjoy such benefits. They also make tinubu's companies sole collector of taxes, consultants and his companies also get contracts to construct roadsThis is ridiculous.
Don't kill yourself on top Tinubu mater
