A committee of information technology and legal experts has claimed to have incontrovertible evidence about Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) servers, installed in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The groups, Deservation and Pukka Initiative, made the revelation in Yola, Thursday night, showing a document, that detailed how and when INEC server was allegedly installed and put to use.

Dr. Sani Adamu, who spoke for the two groups, said, "Apart from the incontrovertible facts our IT and legal teams have in their possession, and ready to bring to the attention of the tribunal, I wish to present to you another evidence obtainable by FoI."

Quoting the INEC chairman, Prof. Yakub Mahmood, Adamu stated the electoral body's chairman had publicly declared that "we are pioneering and deploying in 2019 general elections, a new platform for the electronic Collation and transmission of results of the 2019 elections".

He, therefore, decried alleged moves by INEC to deny the availability of the server, stressing that the action is grave, just as it is a looming national disaster.

Countering the electoral umpire's claims, Adamu referred to "INEC's 2017-2021 strategic programme of action document, page 5, serial number 1.4 and key action, titled 'improve ICT operational deployment and utilization, including activities SN 1.4.1 to SN 1.4.57", saying these series of activities "have captured all the essence of the server deployment by INEC".

He insisted that all of the activities underscored the approval for a server and its subsequent implementation between the first quarter of 2017 and the fourth quarter of 2018.

"Specifically, based on activities SN 1.4.57 in the strategic programme of action 2017-2021, the INEC leadership have received the approval for the transmission of electronic results to the collation centres.

"In the same vein, SN 1.4.16 indicates that INEC has received the approval to procure servers for the 36 states and the FCT in the second quarter of 2017 and completed in the second quarter of 2018.

"For the avoidance of doubt, I wish to tender a copy of the 2017-2021 strategic programme of action document, which dealt with issues of ICT including servers, card readers and the electronic transmission of election results," he claimed.

He called on all Nigerians to join the campaign for INEC to own up and do the needful. "Because we are in a situation similar to the June 12 of Moshood Abiola," he added.

Re: We Have Evidence INEC Procured, Installed, Deployed Servers - Two Groups Claim by NaMeAboki: 8:14pm On Jun 21, 2019
Does that mean the servers were officially commissioned, functionally intact and recognised by the law?

For as long as the use of servers i.e. electronic transmission of results is not recognised by the electoral act, then whatever information that they may contain (even if they exist) is automatically null and void - you cannot legitimise illegality.

With respect to INEC Server saga, the issues at stake are:
1. Electronic voting and transmission of election results are alien to the present Electoral Bill. That was what saved Governors Nyesom Wike and Emmanuel Udom in 2015 at Supreme Court after losing at both electoral tribunals and Appeal Court. Nothing has changed with regards to Supreme Court ruling on this.

2. INEC has maintained that at present it does not have any server containing transmitted 2019 presidential results as beind demanded by Candidate Atiku Abubakar because though pilot electronic voting and collation were done with regards to some staggered States' governorship elections, it was neither adopted nor used for 2019 presidential elections due to legal and logistic reasons: (a) the late passage and presidential withholding of accent of the aborted amended electoral bill and (b) the late passage of 2019 INEC budgetary allocations.

In view of the foregoings, it is mind-boggling why some people engage in daily wild goose chase with respect to INEC Server saga. It is either they are targeting Atiku's money or they enjoy heating up the polity.
so if someone tells u at ur age now.. That ur mum isn't ur mom u will just walk away without asking for a DNA test?? U will tell the world well she told me so.. Bro server not backed by law we know but let's see it...

It's only civil and responsible to avail the aggrieved persons the right to fair hearing and includes the future of Nigeria... If u Cunningly allows this to slide I wonder what others will do in the coming years... Remember no one has monopoly of deception and cheating...

From there is no server to it is illegal to use server.

Both INEC and former INEC chairman are not saying the truth.

Put on your thinking cap bro. A card reader can not work in isolation without a corresponding server where it sources voters data from and verifies them before they vote.

We need to seat and watch the drama unfold

The card reader has a chip that stores information for a particular polling unit, it has no need of a server.

Secondly, no server is admissible in the Nigerian court because it is not part of what is permissible according to the electoral act.

If INEC was not permitted to use the server during the election, how can she put it forward as evidence in court?

Is electronic transmission of results in the 2010 Electoral Law?

Card readers were used in 2015 and evidence sourced from its use were presented against Govs Woke and Udom but were rejected at the Supreme Court on the ground that electronic voting was not backed by existing law. Nothing has changed since then.

If card readers cannt function or accredit voters without a corresponding servers when why is 2015 election not a case ...or were jonathan/pdp clueless.
IF truly inec server exist why is it only applicable to the presidential election we've had governorship elections in recent times conducted by same inec without server.
To all atiku/pdp sympathiser who have refuse to acknowledge these petition is a fruitless one can go ahead n proof how what is not enacted by an electoral laws will be beholded by any court of competent jurisdiction.

Any Nigerian who really believes that the last general election was free and fair is a dim wit and I have an island in the Pacific that I would sell to them for a $. Even a person with half a brain knows that the election was already bought and sold and results were already collated prior to the election day. I do not give a damn what anybody says, no election in Nigeria has been free and fair.

Card reader can't work without a server.. The data to be read are stored in Inec central data base so they can detect multiple registration and voting

Bro u need another thinking cap. Inec is saying that they did not transmit election results into the server. Moreover, the 2019 electoral law did not even permit.
Re: We Have Evidence INEC Procured, Installed, Deployed Servers - Two Groups Claim by ogatboy(m): 8:55pm On Jun 21, 2019
First it is stupid for INEC to say they don't have a server because how do you explain the whole card reader validation process? A more reasonable excuse is that results where not transmitted electronically.

Second issue is, there would exist a database of the results and forensic can show if there were alterations and when.

Judiciary should give Pdp access to the database with APC team present during the inspection and this case should be treated swiftly so we can rest
