Germany were the better side today and, despite the match leaving much to be desired, leave as winners. The first half was full of drama including two VAR decisions which resulted in two goals for Germany (20′, 27′) and a denied VAR opportunity for Nigeria (45+4′). After the break, the latter came out the better side and created several early chances with Ajibade providing a spark, but they failed to capitalise and, after an injury stoppage, Germany scored their third (82′) to finish off the match.
