COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed for those who want to be Internal QMS auditors and will be conducting conformance audits against procedures, processes, work instructions etc. in line with ISO 9001:2015. The course is focused on methods, strategies and techniques of conducting successful quality audit based on ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. This is mandatory for certification.
Participants will follow along a step-by-step process for utilizing process audit techniques during the preparation, investigation, evaluation, and reporting stages. The course will assist participants in implementing requirements and is designed to provide an understanding of how common communication (basic) skills are applied in auditing.
Many valuable audit findings are lost due to poor communication. The course will enable participants to achieve more from audit findings by providing them with the skills and knowledge to prepare a well-structured and action orientated report that will deliver results for the organization.
The course will also focus on ISO 19011, the standard on auditing and auditing practices.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

 Demonstrate knowledge of the characteristics of a process
 Understand A to Z of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standard
 Understand implementation requirements and current gaps in current system
 Understand basic audit requirements, necessary and mandatory for certification
 Apply the plan-do-check-act (PDCA) cycle and the analyze-change-do-prosper (ACDP) improvement cycle
 Evaluate adequacy of controls and prepare process flow diagrams
 Understand types of audit, audit process, audit cycles and auditing strategies
 Understand roles and responsibilities of an Internal Auditor
 How to plan and develop effective checklist
 Develop process-based auditing plans specific to their organization’s requirements.
 Implement methods for communication in auditing
 Select appropriate method for presenting information
 Apply communication techniques to conserve audit time and stay on schedule
 Understand the needs of the report recipients and structure reports that meet management needs
 Know how to avoid the use of “standard” speak in your report content and produce reports that identify organizational strengths and weaknesses
 Compose an audit report assessing compliance, controls, risk, and process optimization
 Know how to achieve focus on your findings and raise the perception of auditing as a valuable business activity
 Be able to apply skills acquired in real life system audit situations and process auditing
 How to follow up and verify the effectiveness of corrective action taken
 To evaluate audit findings and determine conformity, nonconformity and effectiveness
 What corrective action is and who is responsible for taking action
 Auditing to meet the requirements of ISO 17021 used by certification body
