Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a man who specializes in hugging his victims before stealing their phones.


The suspect, Olasukanmi was arrested at Ikeja under Bridge on Monday, June 25, 2019, after it was discovered that he and his gang members are fond of stylishly hugging any individual they come across at public gatherings before stealing their phones from them.


According to the authorities, the suspect will be charged to court.

Good job by the RRS! Their presence is needed around Ikotun because we have these guys many in that vicinity despite having a police station close.

No be this same guy collect one corper phone under the Ikeja bridge one day. The corper was walking towards me. Suddenly this guy showed up from nowhere, hug him and was like Bros anything for your boy. I walked past them, turned back and saw this guy remove the phone from the corper's pocket LIVE. I was expecting him to notice his phone had been taken.
Before you say jack, this guy has disappeared into the crowd. As a Lagos boy I had to look around to be sure his team members were not around. I turned back and told the corper, check your pocket. Immediately the corper shouted my phone but the thief was gone. He started looking everywhere but the guy was gone. I felt so sorry for the corper that day. Welcome to Lagos.

Good for him...the day one did it for me,e b like film for my eye. He came close to me and hugged me like “my guy how far now” I quickly pushed him & I was like guy I no sabi u,he said u no sabi me again?
