The 2019 presidential election may have come and gone, but the realities would lingers on for many years to come.
While most states control by christian governors voted for PDP except Ekiti andLagos, the states that voted mostly for APC were mulim ruled except Oyo and Adamawa.
What this scenario painted is that, while APC draws majority of its supporters from the predominantly core north,PDP has most of its fans base in the ss&se.
Little wonder,Femi Gbajabiamila was voted for as the speaker of the House the majority of the muslims MPs and his also a muslim.
If we take a critical look at the north central geopolitical zone,4 of its states out of 6 are control by muslim governors who are all members of APC.
Let take a look at the composition of the NASS membership, the senate, out the 109 members,55 senators are muslims, while 54 are christians.
In terms of party affiliation, there are 49 muslim APC senators out of the 55 members while we have in the senate,40 christian PDP senators out of the 53 members.
