For umpteen time the Commonwealth Of Zion Assembly (COZA) has been in the limelight either for arrays of an allegation of rape or for the plethora its interaction with a multitude of personalities in the Nigeria movie industry and Nollywood. The former reason has become the latest lately.

COZA has thus become preoccupied with a contrast of the purpose of its existence. A religious entity whose objective ought to be speaking up against the scourge of rape has become the subject in the discus of rape.

This may be your bubble buster, this is not a stern attack on pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, COZA nor some of its fanatic members. Rather is simply a call to action, a reminder to the society on how issues like this ought to be addressed and a means to save the future of our young girls and that of the church.



If we get this wrong then we’re gradually selling off the future our teens and ultimately the future of the church. The church in this context crosses across all religious bodies in the country including the mosque, it goes beyond COZA.

Just a few weeks ago an MFM pastor raped an eight-year-old girl, an allegation that was confirmed to be true. If R. Kelly did it likewise Bill Cosby, then Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo could do it.

The narrations of Busola Dakolo’s encounter with Biodun Fatoyinbo on her rape experience look somewhat convincing. It’s to a large extent, prove the possibility of sexual encounter and rape between both.

Its just about time. There must be a defined ending to this allegation. The tale of Ese Walters was swept under the carpet without any response from Biodun Fatoyinbo on such a hefty offence. Silence they say is consent, but such adage is not applicable to Fatoyinbo. Now, another allegation has been brought to the fore, just like in the past it has been followed by silence by the accused.

This trend is worrisome, it is passing a strong positive signal to would-be offenders and those already into the said crime. With present antecedence of rape victims not finding any form of solace from the legal system nor offenders showing sympathy by apologizing then it doesn’t make any meaning opening up in the future.



Sadly, just as narrated in The Many Challenges Of Regina Daniels our celebrities keep repeating what they’ve been doing in the past. Which is, either remain silent or support their fellow big player in the system.

Religion has become a vale in the face of many, in an ideal world Biodun Fatoyinbo failure to alter a word should incite some reaction from COZA faithfuls. The onion is on everyone to save this nation from a possibly impending doom if this allegation doesn’t have a closed end.
