The Miss IDEAL Nigeria Tourim 2018, Alfred Salome visited the people of Makoko community in Lagos as part of the works of her Alfred Salome Children Street Cries Project where she gave foodstuff, clothing and other materials to the residents of the community.

The Makoko community is a poor settlement of people living under the third mainland bridge. Some part of the community is in accessible by cars. Visitors would have to park and walk the rest of the journey. With no waste disposal system the community is left to use the same make shift wooden enclose built on top of a water for both bathing and passing out feaces.

The community is in dire need of clean water, among other amenities and infrastructure.
