Some men don't even think twice before they
carry out their action,how will he just send
us
away with his security guard without giving us a chance to explain" ."We must stay here until I see the
guy that gave me this envelope" my dad was
really anxious to see the stranger."Dad,is six
o'clock,let's forget about him and go home" I
murmured."Don't worry,since it is 6pm,we are going to see him" my dad said
.Everybody started coming out of their
various offices and began to head home.
Suddenly I saw a man with red t-shirt and a
pair of jean trouser."Dad,look,it is him".I
pointed to the man's direction .My dad went and confronted him, "you are the one that gave
me this envelope to help you deliever it to
sir Lambert"said my dad ."I don't know you
and I don't know what you are talking about"
the stranger lied.
"Why are you lying"I said and my dad gave him the
envelope back ."I said ,I don't know you and I
work here" the stranger throw the envelope
back to
my dad when he saw sir Lambert coming out
of his office."Are you trying to call me a liar" out of annoyance my dad gave him a heavy
slap (kpom!).My dad and him started to wrestle each other before sir Lambert
approached the scene ."Why are you guys
fighting?" sir Lambert asked angrily."Sir,this is the
man that gave me the envelope in the morning
to give you" my dad explained."Sir,I
don't
know him,he just approach me that am the
one that gave him this envelope in the
morning,maybe this man is having some psychological problem" said the stranger
."Why are
you accusing my staff Of what he don't know
about!" sir Lambert exclaimed and called the
police.Few
minute later,the police came,handcuffed my dad,carried him into their van and they
zoomp off. I dialed my mum number with my
dad phone
that was with me."Honey,what is restricting you
and Ebiere not to come home?" my mum asked curiously."You are not speaking with dad,is me,Ebiere.Dad has been arrested and
detained by the
police" I said and explained the incident that led
to his arrest."What!!!" my mum exclaimed."Mum,don't panic,everything will
be fine" I cut the call
and headed to the police station .In the police
station,I saw a black short bulky man that is
putting on khaki at the counter.Immediately
he saw me,he opened his mouth and interrogated me
"pretty girl,what are you doing here,who are
you looking for and what brought you
here?"he asked."I came here to see my dad
"I said
."Who's your dad" he asked. "His name is lucky.He's the tall old man that was brought
here by your collegues" I said ."Take her to
cell 22" he commanded a tall hungry
looking
man."Yes sir" the man answered and took me to cell 22.When I saw my dad, I could not utter a word,because he was
looking
tattered and hungry with an unclad body, left
alone with a pajamas to cover his private
part.Tears flowed out of my eyes
uninvited ."Ebiere,don't cry, I know that I will get out of this cell very soon ,because I am
innocent" my dad said using his hand to wipe
away my tears.I couldn't help than to cry the
more."Your time is up!"the policeman that me took me to the cell exclaimed.He dragged me like
a bag of garri out of the cell and locked it. To be continue
